What my tongue waggling smiley is for. They have guitar but it is in the background most of the time.

Ah, you should of elaborated.. Larry's playing isnt that background, its actually quite in your face at times, but obviously he does have some subtle guitar parts.
This thread is very odd, im sure there are VERY few bands with just bass and drums..
Although there should be more..

I don't think you do.
HALO is God's way of saying "You need more penis in those ears, my son".
(Do they really have no guitarist?)

Don't have it, oh well, I'll just keep searching. Give me a song or album title and I'll try that way.

FATO. I saw them live. Really funny/good shit. Distorted as fuck bass, drummer and a vocalist. That's it. Funny the vocalist was telling the guy behind the control board "Hey dude. I can't quite hear the guitar. And the keyboard and female back ups are way too low in he mix." HHEHEHEHE I met them to. Good guys.

the dude<in LB> uses an octave pedal and the way he pans on/off effects is an art of its own, both feet stomping various effects in time and syncopation to the music. he sounds like two people
also the dude uses a few rare, not made anymore, choice, hard to fucking find effects pedals that people hunt the web for. i do not know what kind of pedals these are and never have the mind to look when i see them live.

Yeah, I used to think he was secretly playing guitar on the albums, that is until I saw them live and shit my pants at what he can do with that bass.

this is something metal guitarist should take note off. the panning of effects can get very technical and used to great effect. LB and melt banana have been doing this for years. stuff like double tapping a pedal as an accent in sync with a riff so you literally have one 8th note of a guitar effect. something like that is literally the tip of the iceberg of possibilities.
if i played guitar id be learning this, the innovation of this sort of approach is happening now.
ive seen dudes use both feet simultaniously in rythym of whats being played, its similiar to hand/feet interdependence in drumming and piano playing. guitarist can play hand and foot ostinatos.

I use to do that kind of stuff when I used effects, but I've since gone raw and play right through the amps distortion.
When I do my noise stuff live I constantly fuck around with 5 pedals at once.
