Which death metal subgenres would you say these bands fall under?

Decapitated?
Severed Savior?
Severe Torture?
Origin?
Bolt Thrower?
Vader?
Carcass (their "Necroticism" album)?

Brutal? Technical? Florida? Deaththrash? Where do they stand?

Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks

can't be filed under "melodic death metal" or "gore metal" because it so expertly melds the two

pitch shifted vocals, medical lyrics and riffs/drumming that do not fit under "melodic death metal" IE in flames, at the gates and even carcass- heartwork

without trying to turn this into the -core catastrophe that happens whenever you try talking about metalcore over the internet, when a band is "technical death metal" aren't they like.......inherently brutal as well? Not so sure about the other bands, but Origin and Decapitated seem as techincal as they do brutal to me.

anata, necrophagist, pestilence, cynic, atheist arent particularly brutal. but yes, technical is usually more brutal. most releases coming out these days are both "technical" and "brutal" so we need to start organizing in a different manner

I did notice that, lots of bands I see nowadays have been labeled as "Brutal Technical Death Metal". I generally prefer to keep it as simple as possible when Im "genrifying" my music, I guess you could say

Could Necroticism be construed as Brutal DM perhaps? I dont think that would be all too much of a stretch, I could see it...

I wouldn't say Severe Torture were tech death; more straight up brutal death. Everything else Transient said was spot on, though.

i think that there are significant differences between technical and brutal. when i think of technical, i think fast and complex. brutal to me is something like Brodequin, 30 minutes of blastbeats without any sort of jazzy influences nor complex time signatures.

Oh, I've only heard Misanthropic Carnage and Feasting On Blood which are both pretty much straight up brutal death.
