Guitar Port by Line6
I'm interested in this item and am wondering if anyone has it and what they think about it, is it worth the 169 pricetag? .. I'm only a couple months into learning to play and want to know more about it, from what i've read on their webpage sounds promising but I want personal opinions on the item, not the salesman viewpoint

i checked out the website, and it looks pretty sweet. the price is a bit steep, but i guess that's because you get so much with that. it's pretty nice that you can add effects to and alter your guitar sound. and the sound probably sounds better because it's going through the usb port instead of like line in or mic or something.
still a bit expensive though. i'd get it if it was like $130 or something.

Buy it, this thing is nice...I have the cheap version and you cant beat it for recording through the computer. I paid 99 dollars for it brand new at Sam Ash. Only draw back is the wah effect is pretty basic, and won't hold up to a real pedal wah. Comes with 1 month of guitar port online which is a service to download lessons and tones. So use that one month to download as many tones as you want then cancel the membership

So would you say this would be the best, cheapest way to record riffs? I know absolutely nothing about recording.
