humidity

Its humid in my room. I recently moved from a arid climate to a more humid one. What steps should I take to prevent any bowing or warping of my guitar neck?

I can feel the stickyness of the neck. It didn't feel like that before the move. Maybe its a thing the neck has to adapt to, but I'm not sure wood adapts to environments. heh.

Links would help too.

Thanks!

where i live is HUMID AS FUCK in the summer, with no a/c, just open windows, my guitar just sits in it

BUT, heres a few things to do...

is there any sign OF neck movement? If so, and if you dont know how to adjust it (though it is fairly easy) take it to the local guitar shop and get them to do it. (might be $$$ in the area you live in) and let it get use to the new environment. Leaving it in the case should keep it out of harms way too.

jsut keep an eye on it, and you should be fine.

get a dehumidifier.. or better yet, an air conditioner. they do mostly the same thing but the ac keeps you cool, too.. added bonus.

Thanks and

no. The neck hasn't bowed or warp any. I just wanted to know what I could do to help prevent anything like that from happening.
