what settings should i use to make this sound decent, i'm using a metal zone now and it sounds stupidddd

Ditch the metalzone.If you dont like your heads gain, its time to get another amp.

I agree with ^. Just turn the amps gain up to like about 8, mess with the bass,mid and treb. knobs until you like the tone you get and then increase the level/volume knob to desired volume.

i've played a little with those before. and for a better tone..as good as you'll probly get, you need to turn that gain down abit and get as much mids as you can.

those are one of the lowest-end marshall heads so dont expect much. I cant stand the sound of them, its a half stack that sounds like a 15 watt combo. Sorry but i really dont like those amps. It gives marshall an even worse name then their already startign to get.
