Post a link to some. I've never even heard of them.
Sound like they could be quite nice though.

i'll give u a quick history lesson, bernie rico was the creator of b.c rich guitars but gave the company to his son. after that he stated doig his own guitars. but from what i hear his guitars is way better than bc rich guitars.

They are FINE guitars. They look damn nice.
Well made. I am really getting into well made everything these days (especially music) but these are beautiful instruments.
Go for it I say!
Clearly his mother has some good genes too, Bernie Jr., because you can definitely see his father's touch, but these are well beyond BC Rich.

I played a Bernie Rico (senior) handmade B.C. Rich V about a year ago. It was nice but I'll stay with Ran guitars as my primary axe. The neck was chunky and neck heavy for my taste, but it was a nice, great playing guitar. Setup was great, construction details were flawless, and playability was just what I expected.
Same model and tribal paint job Kerry king has made today. It had all the normal kerry King specs; inlays, paint job, 24.75 scale neck, 24 frets, EMG 81/85, a new ( promo, before new production models came out ) Kahler. It was one of the last handmade KKV Bernie Rico guitars made. Both Bernie Rico and Kerry Kings signatures were on the back body as well. It was a collectors guitar. Kerry king had also played it 2 months before during the guitar clinic the shop had.
I wished I had $$$ to spend at the time It is gone now... forever.

Nice post, never knew his son was into the guitar game.
As for my opinion, I'm sure those guitars feel better than regular B.C. Rich's [my prime reason for not accepting them] but they look ugly as hell to my eyes. The Holt signature is maybe the only one that appeals to me.
Reminds me of these guys: www.abstractguitars.com
Dudes who worked for B.C. Rich and Jackson started this company, and I'm sure the guitars would blow me out of this world, but their custom radical shapes look totally horrendous.
I'd rather go with something like Jackson [on Ebay of course ] or RAN - a lesser bullshit : money ratio. I doubt people actually play/order instruments like the Macabre [how do you sit with that thing?] or the Damien Death Cross [wtf??].

i agree with u 100% about some of the guitar shapes in the bernie rico company, but i think the vixen is wicked as hell and looks comfortable at the same time. and abstact guitars are the most ugly fucking guitars ever.

Well, I've never played one, but from what I've seen on ebay on the internet, they look like they're all about the looks just like B.C Rich... Not a good thing. They're also fucking EXPENSIVE. I assume this is mainly for the looks.

Unless you played them and seen them, it's hard to tell by pictures but IMHO, Rico Jr guitars are most likely one of the highest quality guitars on the market today. I have been playing guitar for 35 years and never found a guitar company with such a variety to offer musicians in features shapes and value like the Rico Jr line. I'm sold on them. I have had a chance to see and play most of the hand mades on the market in my time playing music. I'm lucky to own quite a few guitars and basses and nothing plays, sounds and is built as nice as my Rico Jr guitars and basses. Bernie's family has been doing it for more than a half a century.
I got more bang for my buck from buying a Rico Jr then I could have from any other luthier. There is much more to a getting a guitar then buying a $300 pointy thing made in Korea from Musicians Friend or Guitar Center that people with fluffy hair and spandex pants play.

Bernie Opinions
I have to say - even though I am an endorser of his guitars - I truly, truly love them. Some of the best guitars that I have ever owned.
