Noise gate/feedback Question!
Since my most recent buy The Schecter Damien 6 i've had a feedback problem.
I have the Boss Noise Supression pedal and i never had a problem with my previous guitar but now when ever i pause i get that annoying high pitched squeal/the scratchy feedback.
Any comments on what i should do would be great. If you want to know my pedal setup to perhaps Move the pedal the line up is as follows:
Amp -> Boss Noise -> Boss EQ -> Boss Metal(low volume) -> Boss metal(high volume) -> guitar
Dont know if moving the noise gate infront of the metal zones would make much of a difference i just forgot to test it today. Thanks in advance for any help you guys might throw at me.

Not using them at the same time. For different sections of songs when we break shit down to build it back up i switch from the higher to the lower.
Thats the only reason i have 2. I would never use them both at the same time...thats just silly

Maybe one of your pickups is slightly microphonic? does it do the squeal when its just Guitar - amp?
I find it funny you own 2 metalzones.

well now i have noticed that you have a blue voodoo full stack and you are using those metal zones. that is just stupid. Metal zones sound like shit.
I own a blue voodoo half stack and it sounds much better than those shitty metal zones. Possibly your feed back problem is coming from the fact that you are using shitty pedals for distortion. use the amp disortion.

You can do all that and better just using your BV"s distortion and the equalizer on/off.
Just experiment with different settings/different volumes.

Grab the fucking volume and gain knobs and MAKE that shit twist up to 11
Bring the mids up from below ground zero and lower the treb.
Ebay the Metal zones.
Get an ISP.
Mogami cables help.

well man, i have the gain at 10
the presence at like 8 or 9
the mids at 6ish
the highs at 4-5
the low at about 7
add a little reverb and it sounds pretty damn good.
much better than that fake ass metal zone.

Well if you are used to Metal Zones, then it probably is going to sound like shit. Its kinda like eating dog shit your entire life and then having some one give you a thick steak. It would probably taste horrible because of what you are used to. This is also a perfect analogy for your rig.

have you checked you cables, and you wouldnt happen to be using a speaker cable as a guitar cord would you? how close are your pickups to you strings? what are your settings for your metalzones? are you sure it only happens to just that guitar?
while i agree on the bv having a better tone than the metalzone... i think it's totally besides the point guys.

Well about the cords. i'llk go through them today and play the mix and match game.
Strings close to pickups, never payed attention, also look today
Settings:
Level - 4 or 6
High - 6
Low - 8
Mid - 3
Mid2 - 3
Dist - 6
Those are rough guesses as to what they are seeing how the pedals arent infront of me.
And yes it only happens with this guitar now. My ESP was so quiet as well as my 2nd guitarists Jackson. I'll figure it out.
