i'm thinking doin this mad design in my new les paul o.k.
i want to carve out a design, its not goin to be deep like couple a milimeters like and in small sections around the guitar.
dont think i'd go threw the maple into the mahogany.
i want to ask, would effect the sound alot?
and at that what parts of the sound?

probaly wont make any difference, unless you would make like, holes all the way though or so, also kinda depending on what ur exactly meaning?, u wanna like engrave sumtin in the top?? a few mm deep?? if yes, it pretty sure its no problem at all.

Unless you plan on using that axe in the studio recording....I'd go for it.
