Plus the vocals sound processed. Johan is a great vocalist and sounds better raw

If Mastodon could come close to matching the redundancy exhibited by the fact that Amon Amarth actually has six albums out and are making a seventh, which is supposed to get them 'back to their roots' (the ones from which they've yet to grow in any remarkable way), then you might have a point. But, unfortunately, even if Mastodon were shitty, they'd be shitty in differing ways, which would put them above Amon Amarth in that respect.
You all can save yourselves some money by printing out the new album cover (which will be necessary because there are no flames on it) and putting it in the case for one of your other Amon Amarth CDs, and listening to that on the day With Oden on Our Side comes out. Then you can come here, tell us what you think of that, and get back to your shitty, Amon Amarth-fan life.
