OK me and some friends are starting a band and i am the projected drummer since im the fastest we got so far.

I need to know the essentials of playing drums.

Being able to play. Dynamics. Uh. Do you actually "PLAY" drums or are you all just randomly going at it to see who is best at hitting random stuff fastest because that's what it sounds like.

The essentials for playing drums... Um... Metal drums take YEARS to get good at. Take up an instrument because you love it and not because of pressure and find a person who knows how to drum already instead.
