I am not worried about price difference so much as tone. From where I live here in California, I have only tried one of these amps (savage) but it was before I had even begun searching for a new amp. I liked the clear yet heavy tone of it, allowing me to play more complex chords with distortion without it sounding muddy. I have yet to get my hands on an MK II though. People who have tried these two amps, what are your personal opinions in comparing them?

I own a savage se 120. It fucking rocks balls. Never tried the H&K but from what I hear it's a pretty killer amp

i don't think you can go wrong with either. i'm and engl playa these days. but i used to have an mkI triamp and it pwnt.

Hmm, you need to get your hands on the triamp and check it out.

for me it was between that and the splawn. i chose the splawn, but i wished i would have at least found a triamp to play it first. i dont regret the splawn, but man thats alot of sounds!
