Out of all the metalcore bands, they seem to have the fewest breakdowns and give lots of credit to old school (albeit very popular) metal bands like metallica, pantera, and in flames. I think they are pretty tolerable, they could hae much more potential if that singer found a completely new singing style though.

I dunno Matt seems pretty poserish. Like he tries to show off he likes Black/Death Metal but doesn't want to play it. I mean he wears a fucking Dark Throne shirt and has that band Capharnaum. Now when one wants to play Death Metal at least try and growl like it. He kind of reminds me of my friend's band. Like the vocalist loves Death Metal like Immolation and stuff but doesn't want to sound like Death Metal because he is afraid that his band won't be popular. All in all Trivium blow pretty bad. I mean their not bad musicians but they still definatly blow.

their first album wasn't to bad, but once they went into a more emo/metalcore look (especially with their music videos and the singer guy wearing make up...ha) I lost interest. I was also disappointed when I went to see Amon Amarth in concert and Amon Amarth was BEFORE Trivium. Blah....oh well at least I got out of there before like 10pm.

I can't stand Matt Heafy's vocals, at all. Same thing with the two songs of Capharnaum on myspace. The music was better in Capharnaum but the vocals just ruined it.

trivium is from around here...locally. In fact, I have met the singer Matt Heafy on more than one occasion. My friend was also the original guitarist for the band, but was booted because Heafy could "sing"
Ill tell you guys firsthand, that Matt Heafy is a huge dick, and trivium blows.
edit: If I recall correctly, they also formed playing like...Green Day covers and shit.

i saw em live twice and they were actually really good, i mean they had a lot of solos and harmonizing which was awesome, and the songs all sounded pretty different
and they sure as hell werent boring, it was actually a pretty good show
and quit your bitching about being "cocky", its more metal than standing in the shadows like a chump
they can play their instruments so i dont give a shit if they're cocky or not, they deserve to be imo
and the crusade actually wasnt bad, the song anthem is definately kickass

i think their good musicians, but i think they would be better if the vocalist sounded more brutal like death metal instead of all hardcore sounding, i'll have to agree with that. i hate how there are all these bands coming out where the musicians sound death metal, and the vocalist sounds all hardcore. it really pisses me off. i think it just ruins the band. i think hardcore and death metal dont mix good, i dont like hardcore at all, it sounds like metal that isnt at its best, it gives metal a bad name i think

I think Trivium are pretty talented. Sweeps by the guitarists, fast and precise drumming etc. but they still suck. Matt's voice is so annoying, I'd rather wathc the Wiggles than listen to that faggot.
