I have started really delving into theory again after 5 years playing guitar. I played the Clarinet up to grade 3 so I do know theory, but just not specific guitar related stuff such as chords.
Whilst I'm learning chord theory and construction I decided to try to work out an arpeggio from "Future Breed Machine" by Meshuggah
http://www.tandjent.com/meshtabs/dei/FBM_arpeggios.txt
What I'd like to know is what chords the arpeggios are based on and why they sound so god in that particular order. I have guitar Pro 5 and have recreated the riff, looked at the different scales that contain the notes of the arpeggios, and I've even used the chord editor to input the seperate arppegio notes, for instance 2 4 5 6, but it doesnt tell me the chord.
Can anyone help me? If this is explained to me it will go a long way to helping me understand chord theory and progression.
Thanks in advance

I don't even need to look at the tabs to tell you that the arps are pretty tristan and isolde...
