i got some problems with the fx loop of my engl savage. ive put my delay in the masterloop just to look how it sounds. when i set the dry-effect to dry i hear absolutly nothing from the delay ... i guess should be normal but when i turn it to effect or even at 12 the volume decreases so rapidly... its insane. i know dry is only amp power and effect is mixed with the loop but i didnt know that my amp will get that low. i further noticed that i have to replug the effects in the masterloop when i turn on the amp otherwise theyre dead no matter where the dry effect knob stays.

anyone got an idea?

I know i'm probably not helping but isn't dry knob means you aren't mixing it in. I know that the wetter an effect is the more you can hear it in a mix...so I'd imagine the drier you have it the less of the effect...

yep thats right and the more i mix it in the quiter the amp gets.

that tends to happen with some effects...I added some reverb to some drums and i had to turn them up because the reverb affected them.

Line level problem maybe? Pedals are unbalanced while FX loops on amps are normally Line level balanced. Some amps let you adjust FX loop line levels so you can use either rack gear or pedals in the FX loops with out these kind of problems.
