I have not shopped for a new guitar for a good 4 years. I am looking for something that Jason Becker might play. Super low action, incredibly fast neck, ultra smooth sounding pickups etc. I was looking at a Parker, but the sound was very uhm, treble as fuck. I'm not much of a uber grim treble master either.

The way it played was fantastic though, so I am looking for something that would be ideal for alot of sweeps and leads. Basically a shredders ultimate guitar. I'm playing a BC Rich Neck Thru Mockingbird right now and an esp viper 400fm . They both kind of suck.

I am not picky about bridges, A kahler would be awesome though, or even a floyd. I am not willing to spend more than $1500 USD either. And it has to be a 24 fret. Sorry if this sounds like alot to ask but I just started playing music with a full band again and though I am in my prime I want to stay that way and even push the limits further.

Ibanez RG 550/570 - Perfect solution. Awesome necks, and they go for pretty cheap used as well, which'll give you the cash you need to replace the pick-ups if they're not to your taste.

If you want something much better, go for a Ran, but I think they go for more than $1500 now.
