there was this 50-something dude around here who made advances to elementary school kids. one of my friend's little sister came home one day from school and said the old dude had showed her his dick and asked her to touch it, which she refused (smart kids still exist).

He was banned from the school premises but police couldn't charge him. Several months later he was arrested for stabbing a 14 year old to death in a park because 'she wouldn't put out for him!' Twat!

Thats what i was "sarcasting" about, that is such a lax penalty! The minimum for first degree murder, at least under federal jurisdiction, in the U.S. is usually 30 years I think. I may be wrong but wikipedia didn't have any information on the punishment for the different sentences.....but that is understandable cause every murder case is different.

i don't know about Norway, but here, if you, say, kill 5 people, you get 5 different sentences, one for each crime.

imagine:

kill1 (5 years) + kill2 (15 years) + kill3 (10 years) + kill4 (20 years) + kill5 (20years) = 70 years in jail, which is pretty much a life sentence.

That's how it is in America too, which can make trials much more lengthy but much more thorough.
