Guitar problems are killing me....
My lp is fucked up....again. This time I have no idea what's wrong. When i slide my finger up and down the d and g strings, it screams like hell. Here, i have a sample of it in mp3. Does anybody know what's wrong and/or how I can fix it?
I'm sorry to bother you with all my problems, but I really need answers.

thats just string noise...no different than using a pick to scrape your low string (known as a pick scrape, who woulda thunk it)....nothing more than string noise...either turn down your gain or since this is metaltabs forum...buy some fast fret...it will cut down string noise, brightens your tone, make your strings last longer, and make it easier to play

I thought i was just string noise too, but i dont know why he would ask something like that. Sounds like he's using a metalzone pedal or something, and those are bad for string noise.
whats "fast fret"?

Yeah i know it sounds like pick scrape, but if you listen closely you'll that it scream alot more than it should in some parts(the first about 4 seconds into the track). Also, it does that kinda sound when i'm playing a note to and maybe sliding it up one or two frets.

fast fret is nothing more than a piece of hard-packed cotton on a stick soaked in white mineral oil...you rub it on your strings and wipe the excess off....amazing stuff
yea. what equipment are you using? if you have excess distortion gain (not overdrive gain from an OD pedal or from tubes, mainly from shitty SS distortion units)...in this case what you may be doing is sliding into a harmonic position, given there was enough gain it would cause such a whine

It does that sound even if I don't use the overdrive channel. And no I'm not using a metalzone . It doesn't matter which amp I use, it does the same sound anyway.

That sounds like something that happens when your strings get kinda old. If your unwound strings are rouch and covered in black shit, its time to change!

EMG 81 in the bridge and 85 in the neck. But the strings sometimes make that noise even if i'm not plugged in, so i find it very odd.

Well if it makes the sound unplugged, it has nothing to do with the electronics. What happens is kind of like the singing sound you get when you run your finger along the lip of a crystal glass that has some water in it.

Hahah!!!The sound clip made me laugh out loud.
How high are the pickups, they could be touching them.Your action could be too low.You might have rusty metal fingers, whats the fretwear like?

Is it possible that you have been playing for so long that the callouses on your fingers have turned as hard as stone, resulting in making that sound when you slide you fingers on the strings?
If so, get some moisturiser.
EDIT: I've found your problem. You own a LP.
