Man U 7!!!!!!!!!! - AS Roma 1
Great!!! Perfect!!
Chelsea beat Valencia, also great.
Probably PSV is going to lose to Liverpool tonight with same size score as Man U. I really hope so, actually.
Ajax did an awful job playing 2-2 to the prelast club in competition. Somewhat thesame as Arsenal to the Hammers.

Yeah, Ajax had THE chance to take the lead in the competition and then they play a piss-poor match! And AZ wins with 4-1, passing Ajax and becoming the new nr.2!
AZ is the only one laughing now, if PSV continues to play like this Ajax and AZ will definetly pass them in the rankings coming weekend. PSV has a hard match against FC Twente this weekend.
(one of the best playing teams this year since they got Hiddink's assistent as a coach, steady 4th place in the competition)
PSV will definetly lose tonight, they've got a B-team down there. But I bet they're not going to be slaughtered like AS Roma though. It's probably going to be a boring 2-0 or 1-0.
Fucking Chelsea is through, I hoped to see those wankers fly out earlier but alas. I have no problem with Liverpool winning the CL but Manure looks promising too.

Did you see that red card? That was bullshit, the kid was playing his first ever game for PSV in the first team. (he's a A1 player) and his first ever CL match. Doing pretty damn well and then he gets sent off for fucking nothing. It was barely a yellow card
Pretty cool that the crowd applauded him when he went off though, that goes to show the English know what's up..
And another debutant I've never heard off, lol. they're brought the whole A1 to Liverpool

It was a righteous red card, Def, no matter if he is playing his first match for PSV. First of all he was way too late, and second, d'you know where he hitted Zenden? With a bit more speed and power, he could have broken Zenden's foot. An American was sent off in the World Championshipfor a similar foul.
And third, the referee was an Italian. Do you think any of them show compassion for whoever?
Salihamidzic got a yellow card of which everyone sayd it to be deep red. They should watch it over.
1) Where else could he put his foot?
2) Nesta should be sent off immediately for kicking after.

I didn't think it was a red card, even after seeing the replay when I got home. The PSV fans were great - after about 70 minutes they started chanting "Liverpool" and joining in with our chants! It was a poor game, but the atmosphere at the ground was amazing.

It was definetly a poor game but I think PSV allready knew they didnt' stand much of a chance withouth their key players. IMO they guys that travelled to Liverpool knew the same and where there just to support their team.
The guy that was sent off with the red card said it was a great experience, also thanks to the English fans. That just pretty much tells you how great the atmosphere was!
USS: if you think that was a red card, then you really don't know shit about soccer. It was not even near his foot. Sure he was late but no way that was a red card.
I don't expect shit from an Italian but he had no feeling with the match, even the English fans agreed. Which is what really comforted the guy that was send off, he had nothing but praise for everyone in the stadium. Even Zenden himself said sorry to him! That pretty much sums it up, cheers Liverpool!
Oh and Bayern got owned by Seedorf, damn...

SILLY BOYS; we all know it'll be a United - Chelsea final. The prospect of three games almost back to back to back makes my mouth water.
Don't keep lying to yourself; We all know that Chelsea has a better squad then Liverpool. It is not debatable.
As for milan - united, well fuck, 1 - 0 United in Milan, 3 - 1 United at Old Trafford.
Chelsea - Liverpool 1 - 0 liverpool at anfield, 2 - 0 Chelsea at the bridge.

United's defense has been decimated of late. No Vidic, Ferdinand or Neville for the Milan game. I reckon for United to go through they'll need at least a two goal advantage from the first leg and possibly prevent Milan from scoring. If Milan score at the Theatre of Silence, I'd fancy them to go through.
Liverpool-Chelsea is very tough to call. On the weekend's evidence, Liverpool don't have anything to fear. Again, the away goal could be crucial in deciding this tie. If Chelsea keep a clean sheet at the Bridge then I have to say they're in the driving seat. We've played them so much in the last three seasons though, so if anybody knows best how to beat Chelsea then it is us.
I've got butterflies in my stomach already!

Before the game, 3-2 would not have been considered a good result. Milan to win 1-0 in the San Siro? About 60% likely, I reckon. I don't think United's defense will restrict them to one goal though (even at home they couldn't) so United will have to score over there to go through, no question.

That liverpool - chelsea game was rather tame from the visiting team. Solution; Gerrard needs to play in the middle.

Yes. And Zenden needs to be taken out to the barn and shot in the back of the head. I can't believe Crouch didn't start the game.
We've got it all to do now, and I fancy Chelsea to get a goal at Anfield if Liverpool don't score in the first 20 minutes.

Sell Zenden to PSV, they're allready in the worst shape since years, they threw away the championship last weekend, it's AZ or Ajax for the win next weekend.
ajax can only win if they get a monster score (like 8-0 or something) but honestly I think AZ (and van Gaal) will finally win their real first prize. Maybe even the double..

Good to see the Liverpool youth team winning the FA Youth Cup last night. They beat Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford, but we dominated them from start to finish (we hit the post twice!). The tie finished 2-2 on aggregate but away goals don't count in the youth cup so we won on penalties.
Watch out for our star striker, Craig Lindfield - he'll probably be getting a few first team games soon.

Well if you can't win Champions League, or the Prem, I guess that is something to be happy about. hahahaha sorry John I had too.
So who watched Phil wrap up the prem by scoring for United? Came back from 2 - 0, oh how sweet it is.

crazy for sure!! 4 different champions in like 20 minutes?
it hasn't been this tight for years.. I actually thought AZ would easily win it but they couldn't handle the pressure. I had Ajax out of the picture for a while because they didn't deliver in more occasions but even they got close!
Great way to end a career by the way, Cocu has been one of my favorite players for years.

What a week of football! Fantastic victory against Chelsea followed up by the humiliation of United by Milan. I just hope it's not another 3-3 this time around!

Owned by the FA? By the way the fixture list fell you mean? Liverpool had the least amount of time to prepare out of the English sides and we still won. Admittedly, we rested players on the Saturday but so did United and Chelsea.

The F.A. rejected a request to play 24 hours in advance. Also, United did not rest any players on the weekend. Was it a mistake, yes for sure but I don't think United would have won the away leg anyways, Milan played as close to a perfect game as you can get and my hat goes off to them.
I really do not think Liverpool has a chance in hell against Milan. However that is what I thought about 2005. Who knows what team will show up

Ronaldo didn't play from the start and was only brought on when Ferguson could smell that Everton were about to capitulate.

What the hell is this doing on page 3?
Shame on you mansley for not keeping this alive!! I understand though, after such a piss-poor final
Currently the EC under 21 is beeing held in Holland, it's pretty cool, lots of young talent. That Nani guy from Chelsea is pretty good. We've got a few talented kids as well but the team isn't as good as the team that won the european championship a while back. (read: no huntelaar, schaars, affelay)

Rightly so, it was a very poor match. From both sides if you ask me...
Hope to see a better final next year.
The good news: Ajax won the cup and also qualified for the CL-qualifiers. Thank god for that, with a selection like that they can't afford to miss the CL again.
I hope Sneijder stays, he's been superb in the last half of the season.
RVN can still win the golden shoe, which I thought Alfonso Alves would win! If he scores in the last match he'll give Real the title and himself a nice prize
Topscorer in 3 major leagues, quite a feat if you ask me!

Some would argue you've done better without him - although that's largely down to a blistering season from that diving cunt Ronaldo.

RVN > Ronaldo any day of the week.
So summer spending has begun, United and Chelsea both spashed out some cash. Anyone got some rumors on transfers? I read that Huntelaar is being touted by United right now; asking price 25 million. If you ask me, sell Saha and I would gladly open my arms to that.

I don't think he'll leave Ajax yet, next year he's probably gone but right now he's still learning too much which aces like Stam and Davids in the team.
I heard similiair rumours about Arsenal wanting to buy Babel. And Valencia buying Sneijder but they can't afford to let him go right now, they're playing CL again and they need their top players. Valencia made a 15 million bid and they told them to shove it.

Claudio Pizzaro from Bayern Munich.
Liverpool are apparantly about to table a £13m bid for Diego Milito of Real Zaragoza.

Haven't been too impressed with Pizzaro, they should have bought Farfan, who's way better if he's in shape.
Milito is a good buy...
Tonight it's Barca and Real, I kinda hope Real wins it. They do deserve it after such a good year, whilst Barca has just been terrible lately. Rijkaard wants to re-organise the whole team.

Hala REAL!!!
Kinda sad for Beckham and RVN that they were injured, the first half was horrible with a bunch of diving wankers running around the field. (like, 11x c. ronaldo) But thank god Real kicked their asses and left Barca with nothing.

So... transfer madness!
Henry going to Barca, Chivu as well I reckon..
In Holland Feyenoord is buying big after a crappy season: Van Bronckhorst, Makaay, Hofland, De Cler. Plus they allready had Timmer, Drenthe, Vlaar, Lucius, Slory and some other o.k. players. They will definetly be up with the top 3 again. (Ajax, AZ, PSV)
The Dutch squad won the EC under 21 again for the second time in a row, pretty cool feat since no host country ever won it. And with a completely different team then last time, new players like Drenthe, Bakkal and Rigters did very well. It's good to know there is enough talent out there.

Yeah, looks like the Torres deal is pretty much done for just shy of £27m. Garcia may be going to Atletico for £8m, though, which I'm a bit sad about - he's scored plenty of important goals for us (last 16, quarter-final and semi-final of our Champions League winning season) and he is one of those players with that spark to make things happen.
Cisse also looks like being on his way to Marsielles for around £6-7m, which would mean that we've recouped more than expected on him by my reckoning. It's a shame with him as I think he could have made a good fist of being a Liverpool player if he hadn't broken his leg twice (horrifically so on both occasions).

Oh, I watched some of the U21 tournament and it was very entertaining, particularly the Dutch - they look like very promising players, especially Rigters, Babel and Drenthe.
The penalty shoot-out with England was epic to say the least! I never fancied Carson (who plays for Liverpool) to save any of those penalties; he just doesn't fill me with the same confidence as Pepe Reina, although to be fair Reina is probably the best 'keeper in the world when it comes to saving spot kicks.

Oh yes, Cisse never really made it over there. Pretty sad huh..
The U21 tournament was fun to watch, England was the only team that actually made it a very tight match, so hat's off!
The others all seemed like pushovers, even Portugal, Nani was owned during the whole match. Definetly not worth 25 million! On the other hand, we had a pretty good team, the game against England was the worst of the tournament but I guess it's just in-experience and the quick goal.
Against the Serbs they totally owned, could have been 5-1 or 6-1 as well. But hey, 4-1 in a final is allready a record!
Rigters never showed shit over here untill this tournament, he's probably leaving NAC Breda soon. Babel is still developing but played a great final. But Drenthe has been the revelation of the tournament.
I was positively surprised by Carson, a better keeper then Waterman (AZ Alkmaar) but the penalty's where all very good. Not as good as that panenka done by that italian though

Yo Mansley, time for the new thread?
Watched a lot of cool games this weekend, PSV-Real, Feyenoord-Liverpool, Ajax-Arsenal.
PSV suprised me, fucking awesome goal by Aisatti. They beat Real Madrid in the railway cup final, after beating AC Milan.
The weird thing is, Koné and Farfan couldn't play, so Koeman started out with Affelay, Bakkal and Jonathan Reis, only 18 years old. These guys played a fearless match and won with 2-1. Awesome, PSV has a great yought-development program, along with Ajax.. Bakkal, Affelay, Aisatti and a lot of others are their own products.
It looks like they have a good batch again
Anyways, I'm looking forward to the new season, it's going to be the classic top 3 over here again. AZ looks like it's not making much progression and Feyenoord looks to be back up there again. (with Makaay, v. Bronckhorst, Sahin, Drenthe and Slory)
My prediction is that Ajax and PSV will fight for the title again, PSV's team has a lot of potential.
Ajax needs Davids and Stam to make any chance, after this year they're both quitting so they need good replacements, Sneijder will probably be gone too. Same goes for Huntelaar!
Ajax lost against Arsenal after 80 minutes, van Persie owned the whole friggin' tournament, it was just a matter of time. Ajax didn't have Davids, Stam and Leonardo. Which are their most important players, withouth Leonardo or Babel their attack sucks. Huntelaar didn't get any passes so he was isolated. Arsenal kinda dissapointed me, took them 80 minutes to do something against a toothless Ajax, pfff... That Flamini guy needs a kick in the nads, what an annoying wanker. Is he allways like that??
Feyenoord vs. Liverpool was fun to watch, Babel was good and Gerrard scored the 1-1, after Drenthe put Feyenoord in the lead in the last minutes of the second half. 1-1 was the right score, Feyenoord got a penalty in the last couple of minutes but it shouldn't have been a penalty. Bruins missed the penalty so justice was served.
Liverpool was definetly the better team but Feyenoord was playing far more concentrated. Ofcourse it's just friendly but after 8 yellow cards it didn't look like much of a friendly match!
So, that was my rant for the new season, anyone care to shed some light on the situation in your league?

Drenthe to Real. Heard they're still after fucking Sneijder, fuck you real, leave him alone and get Van der Vaart
I think the PL will be more attractive this year, except for ManU, Liverpool and Arsenal really impressed. With Henry gone V. Persie looks to be getting even better, just hope he doesn't get injured again.
Also heard that diving cunt Robben might move to Real.
