Complete Head/Cabinet Mod
so. after reading soulinsanes cabinet reinforcement project thread, i have decided to rewire my cab with high quality wiring, caulking the seams, and lining the walls with foam. in addition i will be coating the inside walls with marine epoxy to harden the wood.
now, as a young 16-year old guitarist who has little money to begin with i was forced to settle with a peavey valve king instead of a more high-end tube amp as i had originally intended. can anyone tell me about how cold these tend to be biased and recommend what tubes i should use to optimize this amp for metal/grind? also...any other mods i have not mentioned that you know of...please suggest. thank you.
