questions about amps
big noob question: whats the difference between a valve amp and a tube amp. i tried a marshall jcm 600http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=020&item=300002292322&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEDW%3AIT&rd=1 out and loved it and i thought it was a tube amp but online it says valvestate amp or something.

A valve is a tube. Valve is a British term for a vacuum tube. A Valvestate Marshall uses a tube for the preamp while the power section is solid state.

Nope its all tube. 4-ECC83(12AX7) and 2-EL34's Did you buy it? I have never played one but have heard quite a few good things about them.
