What is the best string cleaner?
i have a bottle of string cleaner but it sucks ass. it doesn't even take the crud off my strings. i have really sweaty hands so my strings get all full of shit fast. i was wondering if there are any really good string cleaners out there.

Well the best string cleaner is wiping down your strings when you are done. That way, crud dosent build up. Also helps a ton to wash your hands before you play.

String cleaners don't really work well.....nor do any of the "self done" solutions you hear about.....the only thing that works is *New Strings*

There is actually a De-natured alcohol trick using a long PVC pipe, so your soaking your strings in this Pipe in the denatured alcohol and there just like new after, they last aslong as you would buy a new set, when boiling them in water the new strings lasts about 2 or 3 days.. even less..but the alcohol evaporates.
Obviously rotate strings when doing this, so take off each string and replace it with an older set... or newer set, while your strings are soaked in the alcohol, its usually a good 15-20 hours they have to soak.

I've been experimenting with using WD40 on mine, it seems to work really well, but stinks.
