Toneport vs fireface

Hi

I am considering if I should by a toneport ux2 or a RMA fireface 400

It is for recording guitar and vocals. I have no room for micing my amp so the guitar wil be softwarebased.

Will I get a better sound if I buy the RMA fireface 400?

i dunno about fireface,
but toneport is cool if you only need 4 tracks because it comes with live 4.1.5
and the upgrade for live 5 is like 400 dollars,
I reccomend just getting something less expsnsive to plug in with and getting pro tools

my suggestion...

get the toneport ux2
download kristal audio engine and any vst plugins you will need

kristal is free, 16-track, good GUI, easy to use, and it supports the optional ASIO drivers of the ux2 (which makes everything sound much much better in my personal opinion with zero latency)

kristal can be used for free...no key necessary....as long as you are using it in your home studio

when you first install the program....when you first open it up....it has a dialog box with three options....one of them is "use for educational or home use"....just click that one
