Iron Maiden re-releases........
about 4-5 years ago, maiden re-released and remastered all their old albums.....this was good
then, about 4 months ago, they re-released all their albums again. it was basically the same thing as people bought 4 years ago, only they came with a cardboard sleeve over the jewel case.....this was kind of dumb
now, i just saw it stores, they re-released all their albums AGAIN! this time they come in only a carboard sleeve, with no jewel case or booklet (im pretty sure they have no booklet). this is downright retarded...
any thoughts?

To be honest, it is sorta dumb. But if it makes money, then it's like free and easy money. And who doesnt like money? So, for the band's bank account, it's prolly a good thing, and that's why it happens. Maybe not the best of reasons, but people do like money, and like when they can find an easy way to make some.

Roarunner records re-release alot of shit too. They bring out an album, then they bring out one with bonus tracks then they have one full of just bonus tracks etc.

IRON MAIDEN IS A GREAT BAND. BUT TO BE HONEST, YOU CAN ONLY RE-MASTER AN ALBUM SO MAN Y TIMES, LIKE ONCE MAYBE, AFTER THAT IT SEEMS A LITTLE POINTLESS. WHY SPEND THE TIME RE-MASTERING ALBUMS, COME AND TOUR THE U.S., WE NEVER GET TO SEE MAIDEN!  |

Are they actually re-mastering each time? Or are they just saying "We're Iron Maiden, and we're re-re-re-releasing because people will buy our fucking records!"?
