Of course they didn't invent it, Indians and Scotts did, they just made it sound different (and better). Plus, Sunn started as an Earth cover band.

Sorry but I'm with BassBehemoth. Drone bands like that sorta have a requirment of being high/drunk for enjoyment. Or, for the people who aren't intoxicated say that it is "atmospheric" and "deep". I just find it boring as fuck. Metal is supposed to be fast, command your full attention, filled ot the brim with anger, and be extremely enjoyable whether you are drunk or not. moe blunts is probably gonna have a field day with my ass for saying this but thats just my opinion and his is his.
EDIT- BassBehemoth is Canadian, the flag of his country is displayed in his avatar if you look close enough. And lets see yoru country try to break away from tyrannical Britain without having an A.D.D. problem.
