untitled
Heady vapors fill the air
One can’t help but stop and stare
Green trees growing everywhere
These magic plants thrive in my care
Live without it but with temptation
It is its own celebration
Base of much speculation
High one’s own highest creation
Quickly mix the green and brown
Chop until it’s finely ground
Roll it up or pack it down
Your one way ticket to funky town
So join me in my salute
And as I end my fond tribute
Let us end this great dispute
And legalize this holy loot

Nah, look you made him sad. Something we seem to do pretty good on this forum...
Well, what to say? Pretty funny, good flow. The first and last verses are the best in my oppinion; the first one first among those. Apparent but imaginative.
Hm, return after who knows how long and then start out like this. You should fit right back in, no problemo.

'Dawn Patrol' is off Rust in Peace ('Hangar 18' is a song on the same album), and it has nothing to do with these lyrics. I honestly couldn't think of a stupider song to bring up for no reason in this thread.

Your honesty does you credit, but in this case gave you little honour in the field of imagination:
Anyone heard Pussycat Dolls' "Beep"?
Hey, wherever did the writer get off to?

There's nothing stupider about bring up that song than the other. You overestimate the irrelevance of any other song or underestimate the irrelevance of 'Dawn Patrol.' Anyone heard King Crimson's 'Red'? Anyone heard Arthur Schoenberg's 'Pelleas and Melisande'? Anyone heard Ace of Base's 'The Sign'? Anyone heard Pink Floyd's 'The Great Gig in the Sky'? Anybody heard Fred Anderson's 'Flashback'? Anyone heard Frank Zappa's 'Yellow Snow'? And so on. All equally stupid in relation.

has anyone heard of metallica. they are this cool band and they are like not as heavy as korn but more heavy than my chemical romance. they have cool songs too. you should check out frantic. it has a cool but sorta funny bit in it where he goes tick tock tick tock frantiiiiic! it gets me pumped. i thought it was cool but some people heard it and were like you cant do that in a song. some times i think they are trying to rip off system of a down though. so if you wanna hear a good band you should try metallica.

First off, not quite random, its the way the beat of the lyrics or poem goes:
So join me in my salute
And as I end my fond tribute
Let us end this great dispute
And legalize this holy loot
Or dawn Patrol
Now I can only laugh
As I read our epitaph
We end our lives as moles
In the dark of dawn patrol
To me it just sounded similar. But second, do you have to argue with everything? like, i know your the forum moderator but christ
and shit, i did type hanger 18 rather then rust in peace....

The meter is similar, but the passages you cite do a lot to show why there isn't much in common between the two songs. I saw the meter thing when you first mentioned it, and I still stand by my comment.
And I only argue because people refuse to give me material with which to have a measured discussion.

Probably. Luckily there's not a chance in hell of that happening.
