Inverted vocals

for some reason i can do inverted vocals amazingly well better than my growling and vox. The thing i was wondering about was does anyone know what inverted shrieking does to your voice because i dont want to lose what i have already

Do you mean like breathing in kinda vocals?

If so that's how i achieve my pig grunts and pig squeels. (I havn't recorded any songs with pig squeels yet)

I don't really know how you could lose anything by doing it except your voice for a few hours.

What you mean you can't hear them well? I thought they were basically the loudest thing.

it gets a little louder towards the end of the first song on myspace, but before that its not very loud or powerfull, so its hard to hear.

does anyone know the name of that program where you can take songs from other bands and selectively fill in the tracks with your own instruments or vocals

I know YoGen Vocal Remover takes out the vocals from songs if thats what your after, these programs usually remove other shit aswell as what your trying to remove (like bass for vocals), so i tend not to use them.
These programs are never free either.

lol I tried removing the vocals from devourment

it didnt recognise which were the vocals. legendary.

OP; i doubt that inhale vocals cause any damage to your throat. But then, this is really the first generation of inhale vocalists really. So who knows what happens, 30 years down the line after having done them at every gig? Find out. take a risk.

I only do vocals for my solo project and i only do them occasionally so i think i should live.

But to do even more freaky inwards vocals, like more piggy sqeeling or just better scream i actually have to piss up my thorat by screamnig for about 20 minutes before.

I've heared that the Immortal vocalist had to quit Immortal because of voice problems. And I think he performed inverted vocals very often.
So I would'nt recommend you to use inward vocals frequently.
But I'm not an expert, so everything I said could be total crap.

They don't damage your voice at all, when i do them it doesn't even hurt.

The immortal vocalist didn't quit because immortal are back together now and he doesn't do inverted vocals at all.

I can only do inhaled vox too, weird. Whenever I try normal vocals they seem too airy, I just can't make myself project properly. Anyway, they're probably not that good but I uploaded a little sample - http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/mmitchel...methecowboy.mp3

btw, it's a pisstake track hence why it's so poor and faggy (aimed at the shitty "deathcore" faddy BOLLOCKS which is popular in my area), oh... and vox (two layers, high inhales and low inhales) recorded with my mobile phone as that's the only thing I had to record vocals at the time!
