SSS Haa Set Yoth - Brutal fucking song. Pretty much my favourite by them. "Von Unaussprechlichen.." and "Die rache krieg..." are close seconds.
I also can never get enough of the acoustics in Immortality Through Art/Godless and Beneath Eternal Oceans of Sand. Two beautiful passages there.
But yeah. Nile are ace, some people say theyre over rated but thats :retarded:

Whoever was saying things about In the Beggining, I'm pretty sure it's a re-release of their old "previously unrealeased" stuff. I could be wrong but whatever.
And too many favorites to count.

In the beginning is a collection of their older songs I think... Some alright songs off of that... Black seeds of vengeance isn't bad, some of the stuff off the new one I guess....

ITB was a collection of two (demos?) I think. Its not too good.
But has anyone heard their first demo, from like, 1994 i think it was? Oh my fucking god. Its terrible.
Production aside, it was laughable. Sounded like some shitty thrash band or something, and the vocals were hilarious. Its amazing how far theyve come, in relations to that, and thank god theyre like what they are now.

Some of ITB is good, i got it and there are a couple songs that beat the shit outta the subs in my car. The recordings are very raw, but with a smooth clear sound that is easily listenable. Some of the songs were used in later albums also, so it couldnt have been THAT bad.

Oh, no, ITB is alright, sorta like Catacombs of Nephren Ka, its just I dont like any of those so thats why I said its "not too good."
The demo though, that Im making out to be really bad, really was. The tracklisting was;
Le Chant De Ygre
Worship The Animal
Nepenthe
Surrounded by Fright
Mecca
try and find it using those titles, if you want. Its terrible though.

Cast Down the Heretic (the solos give me a boner)
Serpent Headed Mask - (people never mention these 2??)
Stones of Sorrow -
defiling the gates of ishtar (the bit with the chanting monks is amaaazing)
In their darkened shrines (1-4) -its all about the atmosphere...truly awesome

The later albums also had much better production, particularly AotW. BSoV was still damn brilliant though. Khetti Satha Shemsu, music of gods!
