Nevermore...what genre?
Hey everybody, n00b here with a question 
So how would you classify Nevermore...that is, under what genre of metal would you place them?
Sure I know they have some progressive elements, thrash elements, power elements, melodeath elements, blah blah blah. So please dont comment by saying "theyre a progressive power/thrash melodic death metal band".
Just, which SINGLE genre do you feel accurately describes em?

That's pretty much as good a definition as you're going to get. If any of the classic bands who played what could be called simply 'metal' came up in the current climate, they'd probably be more than somewhat similar to Nevermore.

Hey I'm not a Faeces Inspector, I don't even know what the fuck faeces is....
They sounded somewhat like power metal when I heard them live, but I didn't pay much attention, didn't like em.

They're, (to me at least) a modern take on power metal. They've got an extremely tight sound, but enough loosness to be obivous Pantera fans. However, for some reason, they manage to mind the gap between power and just straight metal to make a creation that is actually both good and modern simultaineously.
So I managed to say very little in more writinf than necessary, big deal, wann fight about it?
Anyway, modern power. Pantera + the few worthwhile aspects of Queensryche + a little Metal Church + a little Savatage = Nevermore.
