Also, i recently bought the Standard 100 series Monster instrument cable and am considering exchanging it for a higher model: http://www.monstercable.com/pro_aud...tument%20Cables .
Anybody ever use that model? How are they sound wise, durability, etc.?
Any feedback and advice about either question would be much appreciated.
EDIT: Just curious, what length of instrument and speaker cables do you guys use? I use 12 inch instrument cables and 3 ft speaker cables.

Well think about it.
Does the second one look like it will fit in the head and cabinets speak outputs/inputs?
For the speaker cable, dont have it any longer than it needs to be to go form the amp head to the cabinet.
For your guitar cable. again have it only as long as you need it. Also buy the best quality cables you can afford. You WILL notice a sound difference between a good and cheap cable. Even speaker cables

I use Mogami W2524 instrument cables (normally 12-16' long) with Neutrik connectors and Mogami W3103 speaker cables ( two 2' long ) with G&H Megafoot connectors. Both cables are superior to most other brands, including Monster. Just compare the specs. I make my own cables because it is WAY cheaper and I do a better construction job, plus I can cut the cable to the length I need.
With good cables and good construction you will notice a marked difference in your sound.
i have one from planet waves, its pretty good. the end use needles instead of solder to connect the actual wires to the connector so youll never have to resolder it. plus it has the switch on the end of it which is nice... and the scrunchy thing to wrape up the cable with. overpriced though.
