Ohms Question for an unmarked Cab

Hey i recently bought an unmarked 4x12 cab at a local music store for $100, and i have no idea what ohms it runs at.
I've used it with my SS head which is 4 ohms, and it sounded decent. But apparently matching ohms doesn't matter as much with SS amps.
But I have my Blue voodoo which is tube. Its 8 or 16 ohms. I want to use it with this cab because it'd be great for band practice, but i dont know if the ohms will match up. is there any way of testing or finding out. Keep in mind this cab has absoluely no words on it anywhere. It's probably home made.
What could happen if i just go ahead and play with it if the ohms dont match up?
what should i do?

Open up the back, look at the speakers, usually they say how many ohms they are, then look how they are wired. OR just plug in and see how that goes for ya hahaha *That was sarcasm, but i did that once with one of my old heads and luckily it worked out*

i guess my main question is how bad it is if you dont have the ohms match up on with a tube amp. I've heard you can ruin the amp and the cab.

Its normally 8 Ohms by Default Try that.

It wont fuck your amp or cab by trying it. Just dont have it going for longer than necessary if its on the wrong one

If the amp is 4 ohms and you mismatch upwards e.g. your cab is 8 ohms you will only put some more strain on your tubes and you might not get the same volume but if you mismatch the other way you can seriously fuck up your amp.
