Which gets more bang for my buck?
Hello everyone, I am sorta new to this posting thing but i have been observing them for a while so I'm not a total rookie. Anyway, im deciding whether to purchase an Ibanez SR505 for $579 or an Epiphone Gothic Thunderbird IV for $399. I have read really positive reviews for both and have played both in person. I love the way the thunderbird looks and feels, but the
ibanez has a really tight B string. Would it be a smarter move to buy the cheaper one and use the leftover 180 bucks for pickup upgrades or just go with the ibanez?

Hmm.......well i was really leaning more towards the thunderbird anyway cause i have really limted funds (with tax the instruments have a $210 gap) and i like four string necks better, and i dont think we would be tuning as low as B in my band....but if i got like.....EMG's in there it still wouldnt be worth as much as the ibanez?

no
first of all ... you have actually sat and played both of them right?
and about the tuning thing....sure you say that now but as you go on you will always find it better to have a large of a range as possible.

if possible always play a new bass through an ibanez, and remember.
it wont sound as good out of the store, it never does.
