any you guys tryed burning a guitar body to get that burnt effect lol
i know ive seen a few here and there but anyone here tryed it?

anyways, that guitar looks like a pile of crap. A good paint job would make more sense unless playing a shitty looking guitar suits you... which im sure it does. Maybe ill burn my car so it looks "different" |

Heh, that kills resale, and the only way i get new guitars is by selling old ones... so thats not for me, seeing as i payed nearly 2k on my Steve Vai UV777 im not going to set it on fire! I was just thinking a few days ago what i would do in a house fire and i decided id save my guitar. I dont want to induce one upon it! Makes me sad that theres a point when people can burn multi-thousand dollar guitars.

yea I was thinking about this too. I guess you'ed have to strip the finish and then burn it carefully and then coat it again, otherwise the burnt wood would be all dirty and you'ed be all black everytime you play. |
