notation stickers
does anyone know where i can get these things? I have a horrible memory when it comes to "Cramming" and if i force myself to remember tedious things like where all the notes are ona fretboard i tend to forget, i usually just learned the scale patterns, but that can mess you up in the long run and if i have notation stickers it might help me remember them.

are those the little stickers you put on each fret to tell you the note? like CDEFGABC over and over on the fretboard

I sure hope you're only going to put that on a squier strat or other knockaround guitar, right?

I had these one a key board i had when i was around 6 or 7 years old. I'm sure you can get them at a music store but if possible go to a more band/instruments style store as opposed to a guitar store.

Where abouts are you from? I can't understand why you specifically need this and can't make up some labels yourself? Or better still just fill a side of A4 with a fret diagram and use that rather than sticking stuff to your geeetar

its not that I "cant" figure out where each note is on the guitar, its that I always forget, so showing a diagram is about as useful as everything i tried in the past. I only need the notation stickers as a visual aid.
the reason I cant remember it, is because "cramming" is boring. I know a lot of theory and stuff, but this crap is just too dull. which is why i remembered scale patterns because its quicker. and if i ever needed to know the note i was using I would have to figure it out real quick, and I think if I had a junker guitar with the notes on them it could make a picture in my head that i remember.

Oh my post wasn't meant to be offensive sorry, I simply meant try a more basic solution before defacing things but everything you've said there I aggree with, and it's the reason why I don't fully know the notes of the neck. I did resort to some cards etc with it on and doing excercises to help me remember, but as you said, it was very dull and had little interest:/

yeah...it is meant more to just have printed out or to have on a monitor while you are trying to transcribe, harmonize, or just finding out what note you are playing. It isn't meant to be put on a guitar.

You could always get some of those small round stickers which come on rolls and just label them with a pen?
I've actually been meaning to do the same thing, i think it would really help, that way instead of sitting there forcing it on yourself to learn them, you can take note as you are playing of where you are, what notes you are using, what scale ect.
