Best Deal On Pitchshifter Pedal?
Okay, now before it is brought up to me, I HAVE searched the forum and found threads on pitchshifters. Unfortunately, for what little info I've gathered, the conversations lead to pedals that harmonize with 3rds, 5ths, etc, not simply shift the pitch a step or two down. That's what I'm looking for -- since I don't want to go through the hassle of truss rod adjustments, thicker strings (well, I use 11-52s, but stay with me here), or lose the ability to play in my current tuning for other styles of music. So I want a whammy pedal (I guess that's what they'd be classified as) that can drop my pitch a few steps down (preferably two or three steps, since I tune to Eb). My Digitech RP200 whammy effect does a shitty job with anything beyond one step down, so I figured I would simply buy a separate pedal. Any suggestions? I don't know anything at all when it comes to this, so just about any comments could be helpful.
EDIT: And I apologize in advance to the mod, as I've created a similar thread to this not long ago but I wasn't really aiming for a pedal at the time and figured a new thread wouldn't hurt.

just to make this clear, u want to use a pitchifter pedal, so you wont have to change tunings right?? if this is what u mean, iev tryd this stuff before aswell, but it sounds so fucking horrible, u dont wanna play that way believe me (i didnt want to play thatway atleast).
also, every pitchifter pedal sounds crap, even most rack pitchshifters sound like shit, unless maybe some super expensive piece of rack gear.
but maybe someone out here has some more experience with good pitchshifters, i dno

Hmm. Maybe so. I have heard by most people that tuning down is the best way to get the tone you want, not fucking around with effects to try to similuate it. So I might just end up doing that, but I figured if somebody did know of a brand that was good enough it was worth a shot. I should've just bought that goddamn seven-string I saw at my local shop. It was a good price, and the same brand as the one I got instead (Schecter). Oh well. Missed opportunities.

i have a whammy 4... for harmonizing it's ok, but for shifting it's really good. but not the same as the real thing. the detune(1/2 step down) mode is cool, but doesnt sounds as good as if you tune down a half step.
