sweep picking
i can play this song called "im alright" by Neil Zaza all the way through except for this sweeping part...can u guys PLEASE gimme some tips on sweeping?? for example...post a tab of a sweeping lick and then make a sound sample of u playing it...that woud be the most helpful to me

SWEET! for once a lesson that teaches you in IDIOT language and form. i remember when i first attempted to learn how to tap, all the stupid tuts somehow already think you know how to do it and then i ended up working out taping on my own. because of that reason i've already got sweeping down pretty sweet...but that lesson where "Sweeping 101" is kick ass!

you should also check out the site of francesco farreli (or something). he has a monthly column at insaneguitar.com. it seems he cant play anything else than sweep picking and on his site are many lessons.

Sweeping is difficult, its all in the accuracy and speed of your left hand....if that wasnt obvious. Start slow on 3 or 4 stringers, and work your way up

I wouldn't use that advice. It's best to start with a complete 6 ot 5 string sweep and get that done accuratly so when you need to do a 3-4 string sweep, you can already do it.
