Dude what's that huge brown stain on your carpet near your door? Nasty.
Nice guitar though. I like the finish.

Ive played my friend's guitar with an Edge Pro I trem and there is no bushing on it, you just push in the knob-like ending of the trem arm into the opening. So, I would assume that also goes for the edge II as well.

Cool axe man. The only thing I don't like about most RG's is the awful cheap-looking paintjob, even the really prestigious models have lame paintjobs. I bought a very blem'ed Ibanez Universe UV7BK for 900$, but it's still in decent condition.

Looks like good shit! Never played an Ibanez myself but from what everyone is saying they're rather good
The paint is a bit naff though I must admit, and I hate trem bridges, hell, I'd nick it off you though!

The trem arm doesn't have the bushings. I have RG550 with the edge pro trem and it has the bushings.
Oh, that stain... heh, hard to keep shit clean around here.
Glad some of you like it.

The paint looks lame in photos but actually pretty good in real life. I owned this exact model but had to sell it to get a Prestige 7 string, which also has a metallic colour (blue not 'black pearl' (read: sewage green)). Because of the fact it's metallic it always glares really horribly in photos.
The Korean Edge Pro II trem was actually pretty shit, the Japanese Edge Pro on my Prestige is of course miles better, but the Korean model serviced me through quite a few Vader-style solos, even if it did break Low E and A strings durign band practises...

how so?
I never found my neck-thru to be impractical in the slighest. Particularly as I never intended to snap the neck, or break the headstock off.

Practical in the sence that they can be removed I suppose.Easy shipping, adjustments, modifications, and the ability to change the neck I suppose.I only really ever play Bolt on.I love the feel of AANJ,but I also love the feel of bulkier neck joints like Stratocasters.

Exactly They can also be changed, and so you can have sharkfin inlays on one and a JEM inlay on another

As a lefty, I don't really like Ibanez because they do not do much for us invertees. The one Ibanez I have played was a £600 RG Prestige, about $1000. Prefer my Yamaha RG (£180).
I don't like how trendy they are. It's all Floyd Rose trems and locking nuts and fifty-million fucking-piece necks. So it's all unstable tuning and sanding your hand down.
I prefer the kinesthetic feel of bending. Just inverted old me though.
Ibanez are good really. And they actually design stuff for extreme metal, which deserves immediate respect.

Well, by trendy do you mean popular?
They are popular because they build instruments who's quality actually matches the individual price ranges, and they have a lot of price range, unlike say BC Rich or Jackson, who will both sell you either very cheap, or very expensive guitars. Players like me who don't suck, but aren't exactly geniuses either, can't find anything thats good enough to fit our budget (I dunno about everyone else, but I have to save up for ages before I can buy anything new, or sell something I already own), and Ibanez have lots in the upper-mid range to choose from.
Ibanez do traditionally have tremolos, but then, most superstrats do, and the RG is of course their biggest selling model, but they are now producing many more model with fixed bridges, including thier own bridge design.
I never need to tune my Prestige RG (with trem) unless I change strings, other than the odd micro adjustment, and that's over 8 hour band practises in hot rooms. The locking nut stays locked and thats it. It's the most stable guitar I've played.
(My cheap Jackson has a fixed bridge and it won't stay in tune because the tuners are shit. So your argument really has nothing to do with bridge design, or the name on the headstock, only build and hardware quality)
It's a shame you're a lefty, it's not just Ibanez who offer little for southpaws, the entire guitar market offers very little available in left handed, and usually they are more expensive due to the small number of customers, so the overheads are harder to absorb per guitar. I dunno why you're reacting against Ibanez specifically. I'm left handed, I just always felt more comfortable playing right handed. Many drummers do the same.
