Tight enough so its always positioned between the strings and the volume knob. I think it looks weird to have it swinging around all over the place.

It depends if I'm playing with a Floyd or a Kahler. For a Floyd I like it tight like my woman but for a Kahler I like it loose like my bullet belt.

Nah it only takes a second to reach down. I mean if Kerry King doesn't have any trouble playing with a loose bar I don't think anyone will.

so its just me then
only on my rg 220 its got a licensed floyd trem
and as you know moste floyd's have the little thread thingy which you tighten
on my rg 350ex it has a edge pro copy trem and there is no thread so
most of the time it just hangs loose and its harder for me to get used to,

Yeah I'm not a fan of the Edge Pro Copies. I liked the curved bars that Floyds and Kahlers have not these little straight bars that Edge Pros have. I rarley use the bar on my RG that has an Edge Pro. Perhaps I'll replace it with a Kahler when they get the Flat Plate out.

I think Ibanez only made three good trems LO-TRS trem, The ZR Trems, and the first Edge Pros that Vai uses. I have the LO-TRS on my Jem that you helped me fined. But man that baby needs a HUGE set up badly.

I used to have it tight all the time when I was a total noob to trems(not long ago), but now mine dangles a little bit(it's not tight but not outright loose either).

inbetween tight and loose. loose enough so it's not sticking in my way when not using it, but tight enough that it doesn't flop all over the place or bang up into my hand when i'm moving around.

My charvel has i would assume an older style (commonly on ibanez i hear) style of floyd rose system on it. So there is no tightening. Its not LOOSE but its definately by no means tight. I like it a bit looser. Allows me to bring it up and let it go and it get the hell out of the way.

The Bar on Ibanez Rg trems I think Lo TRS is shit. It has an awful screw system where if you use it more than twice in a song it becomes too loose and if you use it after that it knocks back and forth in its slot ruining the sound

i have an old style floyd rose on my jackson and it is use to be pretty tight. Over time I've loosened it up by adding wd40 and cleaning it out, but it has also made me dislike it more. When I play my guitar in certain ways the bar gets out of where I'm use to it...

Having it loose though has its advantages...it doesn't get in your way if you are on the upper strings...

My Ibanez has a piece of shit tremolo bar...it just pops in and half jumps around...dumb shit

I have the same, Edge 3 yea? just take out the bridge and tighten the little screw in the side where the arm goes in, to tighten the arm's position.

I like it tight so when I move it out of the way, it stays there. Plus I can do the thing where I flick the bar and make the tremelo (floyd) sound like some sort of little dog barking and being shot full of bullets at the same time.

Those are called crickets, but considering it how cool that sounded, I'm going to call it a dying dog from now on.
