I made an entry into the Sweeps and Scales thread recently. G look up your modes there.
A mode is basically a scale within a scale.
Say I have this scale:
A B C# D E F G A
which is actually A Hindu.
If you start from D instead and go through to D, that is D Melodic Minor.
D E F G A B C# D
Oh, thanks for remembering that mode chart. It was originally from someone's sig', and I just started the thread to thank whoever it was who had it. It is useful, I suppose.
