bass amps usually have to have alot of wattage to compete with guitars and stay audible... sure you could match a 100w guitar amp with a 100w bass amp, but you wont really be able to hear the definition of the bass other than pure rumble. Heres an example... my 45 watt guitar amp drowns out my cousins 150 watt fender bass amp because his just sounds like mud against mine... go for higher wattage... so you can boost trebel without losing bass definition to cut out the mud.
theres a reason why popular orange guitar amps are 50-100 watts, and the bass amps are 200 watts...
