DC Resistance

What exactly does DC resistance do? Is it better for it to be high or low? I been looking for a decent explanation and haven't really found one? I am hoping one of you guys would know, because I been comparing alot of pickups and I was wondering like if its lower does it make it easier to harmonic or does have almost no bearing on your actual sound?

Ummm, I didn't think a pickups had much DC resistance at all I guess if its has more windings then the conductor would be longer and it would have a little bit more natural resistance.

More windings means more conductors for the flux to pass by which means more signal strength which means more outout. All this also means more impedance ( or resistance ) so you better not be trying to drive long ass guitar cables without a buffer or active pickups.
