i need help and advice about my rig
im a bit confused about how i want to achieve a simple rig..i am pretty straight forward, amp, guitar...with distortion(amp distortion in my case) but i want to add delay to my solos, JUST for my solos and nothing more..since i am using amp distortion this makes me have to put the delay pedal in the fx loop. but i want to run a BBE sopnic maximizer in the loop as well..i have two 3' patch cables for the maximizer to be in my loop. from my amp, a cable leads to my noise suppressor, from my noise suppressor a cable leads to my guitar.... my point here is...what would be the correct way of setting this shit up? how many more cables do i need? remember this is for a live rig ..so am i fucked? or is this a gay rig? or what? im stuck.

I dont understand what kind of answer your looking for.It should work both infront,or in the loop.

Experiment with putting the delay in the fx loop, or between the guitar and the amp. Whichever sound you like best, keep it there

well with the delay since im using amp distortion, if i put it in front of my amp it will sound funny, witch is why i want it in my loop..what i realy want to know is how to set up my maximizer and the delay pedal in the loop together.
thanks by the way.

A)Delay sounds fine infront of the amp,try it.
B)If you want them both in the loop,just do this:
effects out->sonic max-->delay-->effects in.

ok that helps a little....i was soo confused for some reason about how to hook them up like that i made it harder than it was. shit..thanks!!! and does the delay sound fine in front of the amp? cuz i dont know ..it makes a huge difference when i put reverb in front of my amp and in my loop...its like super reverb in front and its all wacky...and it sounds bitchin in the loop...but i will try it all thanks guys.

i preffer all time based effects post gain & eq stages(ie in the fx loop after all eq's and o.d. sources). that includes, chorus, delay, looping, reverb, and flangers... phasers sound fine to me either way...
unless you're going for a weird sound... alot of people run those fx before the preamp for cool noise. like radiohead.
trial and error.

so right now i have a noise supressor, and a reverb pedal, im finaly getting the delay pedal...i have a boss adapter with the daisy chain that powers 3 pedals with one adapter. what order should i put those pedals in? oh and if i put my noise supressor in the loop it doesnt work as good....and if i put the reverb and delay in front of my amp..they dont sound good. i want to power all 3 with the adapter..and keep them on the same pedal board. and yea what order should they go in??
p.s sorry about my crapy post.

noise suppressor first... you want your effects sparkly
then i'd personally do delay
and then reverb so you can get that reverby sound on the delayed notes...
because reverb is basically what you get when you jack up your delay to be reallllly fast... i tapped my delay to go as fast as it could, and it made a really cool decaying reverb sound
