VOX? the way to go?

Ive been hearing that the tone of the vox can top most of the best amps..so whats you guys's openion on the tone of the amp? if u have ever played 1

well what model are you talking about? a 15 watt combo or a half stack.... like really, be more specific

some vox's rock, some vox's suck... but i wouldnt say any are for metal.

My teacher has a very old Vox amp from the 80's I think and it sounds great. It has a good old rock tone.

Vox amps have a EXCELLENT rock tone. Sounds great with like.. a les paul or a gibson sg.

Theres no way i would get one for metal though. Just not that kind of amp. Its a vintage tone. I mean damn just look at it.

AC30's are great for classic rock,not modern metal,though.Try one with a boost in front of it.

They're considered a "vintage gain" amp... kinda like orange or fender... you might be able to boost it enough to get a hardcore/post-hardcore or emo/screemo guitar tone... but thats probably as far as you will get.
