Chordal Hammer-Ons and Pull-Offs

I'm learning the acoustic intro solo to Blind Guardian's "Time What is Time", and I'm not sure if this is right.

I'm talking about the hammer-on and pull-off, cause I've never seen them in chord form, and was wondering if there is such a thing, because it seems really difficult. If there is such a thing, do any of you have some advice as to how to play it?

I've been using a slide instead and it sounds pretty accurate, but if this is indeed correct, I'd rather play it the right way and learn this technique now.

For that, I would use my index and middle fingers for 5-4 cord and hammer on with the ring and pinky for the 7-5.

Eh, personally, I'd slide the chords.
