Sunn O))) amps
I might have the opportunity to pick up a cheap old Sunn guitar amp.
Do you think this would be worth getting to use it purely for a power amp distortion?
Its in great condition and as far as i know Sunn amps are highly sought after relics

No, he means the amps the band named themselves after.

No. Sunn amps are amps that first started in the mid-late 60s and have recently been discontinued. Sunn0))) got there name from the company because it is the ams they use (and the amps Earth used).
If you can find a Sunn amp for cheap get it immediatly. It will be the loudest amp you'll ever hear and they are ver durable. If you happen to not like it (you'll like it believe me) talk to me and I'll buy it from you because I'm looking for one myself.

Whatever you do, don't pay more than $500 for any Sunn.

Yeah, that would seem more correct.
They sound like a really good bunch of amps.

Sunn amps are very good, but not the best. Loudest amp you'll ever hear? Definitely not.

They're up there with Hiwatt and Metamp (i.e. Orange, Green, etc.).
P.S. sorry for that last entry.
