Question Amp question...

how do you set up two (guitar) amps so they can level each other out like lets say playing a show are they both tuned the same?

Are you asking how to play out of two amps at once?

If so, you need an A/B switcher box for this.

Either way you will need an a/b switcher. It chooses what amp the signal goes through.

to run them at the same time you'd need an a/b/y switcher... an a/b will only allow one at a time. from there eq them how you'd like to sound good with each other.

Oh,well you usually want to match tone and dynamics to an extent.

you don't make much sense. You want different tones for the different amps, so you use different settings?

Annyhow, what our band does is one person has his EQ with the mids cut a bit, like a standard metal setup (you know, high bass, high highs, and a mids halfway). And the other has the exact opposite (a lot of mids, not so much bass and highs).

And you can always play around with gain settings (one has a lot of it, the other one is just a bit overdriven)
