what is a Power Amp can u guys help me what it is?

It amplify's a signal,created by a preamp,to power speakers.An guitar amplifier has 3 stages

Preamp:Tone shaping(eq,gain,ect)--->Poweramp(amplifies signal)--->Speakers:Sound.

yeah..

All the power amp does is amplify your sound so its powerfull enough to drive your speakers. You will notice that speak cabs dont have power cords. its purelly power amp thats the driving them.

The preamp is what takes your raw guitar signal and prepares it for the power amp

you need a power amp for playing guitar amps already come with power amps inside of them but you can do it separately with pre-amp >power-amp> speakers
