Doom
Hi, Ive been getting into Doom Metal lately. What are some common techniques playing it. Obviously its slow so dont post saying that but, what are some common scales/modes, chord progressions etc.

Doom metal is generally written in minor keys (duh). That's it really, depending on what subgenre of doom you like... There are general BPM restrictions for certain subgenres of doom, but otherwise it's a pretty lenient genre, the focus is just on slooooow and mournful.

start with a polygon and put some windows in and scnery, make your maps interesting. Don't be scared to over use demons or shotgun zombies. Any good map has a boss, the Cyberdemon and Motherbrain motherfucker are the funnest to fight. Make them as hard as possible so hardened guys like me can play them. Put in a bfg and get ready fpr carnage!! ps plenty of ammo
