Know what pisses me off the most? Most of these cops never lose their job or face any kind of penalty. It reminds me of the whole Robert Dziekanski incident in Vancouver. The police claim they had to taser him because he "was unpredictable and resisted arrest". But if you watch the video he clearly surrenders by shrugging his arms and stepping back a little. I could see them tasering him if he had moved TOWARDS them in an aggressive manner, but he didn't.

Cops are way to quick to use their teaser, i know from experience. I use to be a bouncer at a nightclub and I've had cops on numerous occasions not even say one word pull the taser out and aim it into a group of people, when words were just being throw back and forth.

This is my main gripe with all of this, they just can't help themselves. They taser people in wheelchairs, children and the elderly. There was a guy they had arrested, and he had to go to hospital because they gave him a fairly severe beating. He was on the bed, handcuffed, and had to give a urine sample, but he refused. So, the cop tasered him continuously to get him to comply, and he eventually died. It's not a non-lethal weapon, that's for dang sure, son!

If you read about the studies done on police brutality the psychology of most these cops is pretty frightening. It's the old cliché of "power corrupts". Each of them sees him/herself as above the law, and is on a permanent power trip. The training should be infinitely more intensive, because all of us - untrained - would no doubt go the same way.
