Those were all really good and concise reads haha. Amazing people in this world.

I've always wondered for what reason american news always release the full name of those who get arrested.

Part of the humiliation factor. So people can point and say - what a dumbass you were! We're like that.
We don't always release names though. There was a shooting over the weekend in a property dispute of some sort and they released the shooter's name, but not the victim since they weren't sure if the family had been notified yet. Bad area to be in at night.

I've always thought it to be unconstitutional. The only people who should be able to share and talk about such issues should be police departments alone, and if they need to get the media involved for some circumstances then let it be.

It's not entirely limited to the states though. Here the people working as journalists, many of them seem to have a quite bizarre form of hypocritical double standard that often tastes of good old fashioned mob justice. There was a TV show host, working mostly with kid's shows, who got apprehended by police during a riot at a football match and tested positive for amphetamine. Now, the whole handling of the matter was rather clumsy, nothing could really be proven and, well, it didn't really amount to much. But his life is destroyed. From what can be seen from the outside, absolutely nothing remains of his twenty plus year's worth of career. Gone, because the jackals who call themselves reporters smelled blood and went at it with their usual zest. Yea, I don't give much credit to that particular profession, to be honest.

Yeah, but how much fun would you guys really have not knowing Peewee Herman and Charlie Manson's names. Some random guy was busted in an adult movie theater exposing himself in a self appreciating matter. No details to follow. --A man coerced his cult members to murder a movie star, her friends, and family somewhere in California. -- I think part of the reason of pinning names to the crimes is to add validity for what's happened. An alternative thought, I just heard today that the octomom, who I could really care less about, doesn't agree with the amount her house that she's behind in payment for, is worth what the realtor appraised it at. She says it's a "celebrity home." Knowing it's her just makes me think she's all about herself and goofy as hell in the head.
On another note, the shooting I told you about was even more atrocious than that. The shooter had been kidnapped by the victim and his friends a few weeks ago. They had tortured him, beaten him, doused him with gasoline threatening to torch him (sounds like Paddy's neighborhood, I know), and he'd finally gotten free and escaped. He heard the guy that initiated it was at a bar, walked up to him, shot him, and left. I'm thinking he must have been in quite a state of mind after his kidnapping so I'm not real certain how that's going to play out.

Amadeus, I can understand hating sensationalist journalism. It's crap. There's several on tv over here that I absolutely can't stand. One badgered a woman so much she killed herself. I think their tactics suck big time, and can't believe they have such high ratings. There's been innocent people accused of horrible things for forever. I can think of one in particular a couple thousand years ago. But, yeah, sometimes even when there's proof of innocence it's too late to reclaim their reputation, job, or family. Sad.
The mayor in Cleveland does want to try to help convicted felons a chance at futures though. On city job apps, he wants the box removed that asks if the person's been a convicted felon. I don't think removing it is a good idea, but maybe leave that and add what type crime it was. If it's a DUI it's a lot different than a pedo. At a previous place of employment, a man was hired that had early childhood education experience yet on background check he'd been incarcerated for something. I don't remember what. At another, I worked with a young guy and was training him for the job which was part of his rehab. He was really nice and a quick learner so I left and let him finish working. The next day I found out that he'd told his g/f I'd fired him. I was a low person there so that was a crock, and I found out he was a convicted rapist. That would have been nice to know.

So. Yea. Or no. I might go so far as to say that I feel dirty, just from reading this. I might. And once again I find myself asking - am I a horrible person from bursting out laughing just from seeing the headline? I mean, this is... wow.

Nah, this is the aftermath if you cheat on me with another human. The thing about it is, I didn't actually plan for that slut to die. Drinking my semen for 3 years turned my ex-dogfriend into a Vish Kanya-style sex assassin. He was immune to my poison, but was carrying it in his blood, so if he decided to let another bipedal whore partake of his affections his new love would die and he'd never find happiness again except with me, but unfortunately for both of us that ship has sailed. Romeo and Juliet can fuck off, this story is something David Lynch and David Cronenberg should co-direct.

I think you're reading too much into her shock that a Swede is actually capable of criticising someone without first holding a forum at the U.N. She'd have been equally mystified if you had said you found the war in Iraq to be a "wee bit unfortunate". And that's what I love about you - you'll undoubtedly fake orgasms for me for the entirety of our civil partnership rather than risk offending me by telling me your hair isn't actually an erogenous zone.

I don't imagine it will do much for the plight of raped/exploited children but at least it will give Dylan's sister the chance to expand her modelling career beyond Goin' Downs dot coms.

My husband said he picked up a few dogs before but never a donkey.
HEY! WAIT A MINUTE! Oh yeah, he didn't pick me up. His mom arranged us.

I thought hick women simply impregnated the males of their species with maggot-babies and allowed them to ferment in their bowels until it was time to eat their heads.
This doesn't affect me, or at least not directly, but [southern] Ireland has a new president. I say "new", but I in fact mean "half-dead oul bastard".

Great, so maybe you can start by leaving the EU and begin the process of bringing it down amidst flames and smoke?

I hate the world and the internet for doing this to me, but I can't help to wonder how many of the hits on the youtube video is, in fact, from people jacking off to it.

A swat on the bottom or a brief smack on the hand for dangerous activity is one thing, but that was abuse. Plain and simple. It's a shame that the rest of the family didn't speak up years ago, but I know all about the fear factor that was probably going on with them. I hope the laws in Texas get changed over this and I hope the father does get the help his daughter wants. He was probably disciplined the same way when he was a kid, but times have changed. With him being a judge he should know that and know better. How many kids did he return to families that abused their kids because he said they make stuff up? It will take years of reviewing, but I bet there's a high number of damaged people out there because of his ignorance. I think he should do jail time and he may not get it because of his daughter, but maybe he will get it from some other kid that was released into a bad situation due to his screwed up judgement.

What a dumbass. Apparently he doesn't have an endearing qualities to get someone closer to his own age if he was using the band status as a lure. What a dumbass. I hope his mama sticks a foot up his rectum.

I thought it was for the money and limelight? Like, the limelight including interviews and photos and internet fan reviews minus all the sex and partying?

Well, I can't cast stones so I deleted what I was going to say a couple times. But if he's a Christian and it was due to immaturity or otherwise on his own part, which doesn't quite sound like the right phrasing to use, then he should be justifiably punished. But he's still a dumb ass. He sure ain't all that good looking. I've seen better here, drunk and stupid.

... playing music is all about... life. Just life in general. From engineering, to mathematics, extended all the way to practicing martial arts and its even part of PrisonPlanet.Tv. It's a part of enjoying life, doin' a couple drugs, watching TV and even having sex. That's what music is all about.

I only write music to irritate my neighbors at odd hours, personally. I always figured Mike Patton was influenced by a similar motive.

Holy fuck: http://filmdrunk.uproxx.com/2012/02...o-tell-about-it
They (for some weird reason) released the tape of him calling 911 saying he's shot himself in the head. Its sad/weird/creepy. The best/worst parts are when he says "and I've just shit my pants" and then when the 911 operator, when asking about his sister's number, asks "do you know it off the top of your head?". He's surprisingly lucid for having shot himself in his temple. It made me a bit queezy imagining it, and all the little moans he makes.

Every psychologist, criminal profiler and pre-massacre school shooter I've heard talk about this always makes the same points. The media's hysterical and unyielding coverage of shit like Columbine is significantly responsible for the follow-up shootings by other "outcast" kids. They see that killing people in school will make you infamous around the world if only for a week or so. There's a similar impulse for socially inept depressives to commit suicide in general but especially to commit suicide in a fantastical kind of way, such as a Travis Bickle "hail of bullets" thing. Your own funeral is the best advertisement for killing yourself if suicide is on your mind - everyone who knew/cared about you will be there heaping attention and sorrow on you, all of your sins, embarrassments and transgressions will be forgiven/forgotten, all of your scores will be settled, you'll suddenly "matter" to people, you'll be the centre of their worlds for a long time to come. At least, that's the belief; the reality is much less romantic. You'll still be a cunt, but now you'll be considered a selfish cunt who inflicted horrible pain on his family/friends and in the case of murder/suicide faggots like school shooters you'll be looked upon as a pathetic whiny dickhead by all except other pathetic whiny dickheads. Plus Marilyn Manson.
That said, I don't think it's particularly helpful to chalk this shit up to one-liner dismissive pigeon-holing. Columbine was a long time ago - I was still in school myself when it happened - and it still hasn't really been dealt with. It's hard to blame the kids who do it, especially when the adults can't even figure out why they did it AFTER the fuckin' fact. We expect a level of insight and understanding from the shooters that we apparently don't possess ourselves.
Ahhhh it's been a while since I text-walled. I feel like I've had my first morning shit

Supposedly he was targeting his ex girlfriend's new boyfriend. One of the boys died and another is brain dead. He was going to a school for at risk youth and they were all waiting in the cafeteria for their buses. I saw he had a couple lyric lines from "The Wall" for his high school and college- "We don't need no education" and "we don't need no thought control." They showed a rant he'd had on his wall on the news this morning and my first thought was that it's a lyric. I keep getting kicked to the sites about the event and not to lyric sites. Maybe he was the writer or maybe not. So I figured I'd ask the experts. -
"In a time long since, a time of repent, The Renaissance. In a quaint lonely town, sits a man with a frown. No job. No family. No crown. His luck had run out. Lost and alone.
The streets were his home. His thoughts would solely consist of "why do we exist?" His only company to confide in was the vermin in the street. He longed for only one thing, the world to bow at his feet.
They too should feel his secret fear. The dismal drear. His pain had made him sincere.
He was better than the rest, all those ones he detests, within their castles, so vain. Selfish and conceited.
They couldn't care less about the peasents they mistreated. They were in their own world, it was a joyous one too. That castle, she stood just to do all she could to keep the peasents at bay, not the enemy away.
They had no enemies in their filthy orgy. And in her, the castles every story, was just another chamber of Lucifer's Laboratory. The world is a sandbox for all the wretched sinners.
They simply create what they want and make themselves the winners. But the true winner, he has nothing at all. Enduring the pain of waiting for that castle to fall. Through his good deeds, the rats and the fleas.
He will have for what he pleads, through the eradication of disease. So, to the castle he proceeds, like an ominous breeze through the trees. "Stay back!" The Guards screamed as they were thrown to their knees. "Oh God, have mercy, please!"
The castle, she gasped and then so imprisoned her breath, to the shallow confines of her fragile chest. I'm on the lamb but I ain't no sheep. I am Death. And you have always been the sod. So repulsive and so odd.
You never even deserved the presence of God, and yet, I am here. Around your cradle I plod. Came on foot, without shod. How improper, how rude. However, they shall not mind the mud on my feet if there is blood on your sheet.
Now! Feel death, not just mocking you. Not just stalking you but inside of you. Wriggle and writhe. Feel smaller beneath my might. Seizure in the Pestilence that is my scythe. Die, all of you."
And I'm kind of creeped out even posting it.

Its definitely not just "people just like to kill each other", there is a lot more strange psychology that goes into things like this. See Paddy's (long overdo) wall of text.

As a follow up on Paddy's (rather benign) wall, I find it rather interesting that I have myself witnessed a case where things could have gone this bad, and where the guy in question had weapons and ammunition available. More to the point, it wouldn't have been all that unmotivated; when I first got to know him he was basically spending every single day in school as a sort of mental reenactment of the Western front in 1916. Funny thing is, in a case where there was actually an understandable motive and not just a lot of emo shit, he pulled through, finally threw a few good punches and that was that. I mean, sometimes when I hear about the motivation for these shootings I'm just thinking "Oh for fuck's sake, you whiny little bitch, grow a spine and shut up until you have some real problems to speak of".

Three of the boys have died. One boy I haven't heard about that was in critical condition. The girl who was hospitalized was released to her family.
Yesterday, he went to court and said he took a .22 and a knife to school, fired 10 shots, but didn't know any of the victims. So much for the reports of drugs and girlfriend. False info. Apparently he was living with grandparents, his sister was at school when it happened, and he wasn't a student of that school, but went to an "at risk" school. There were kids in the cafeteria where he opened fire, that were waiting on buses to take them to various other schools. He stole the gun from his uncle's house, although his grandparents had weapons at their house. It wasn't reported whether they were collectors, hunters, or what. To me, that makes a difference. If they had blunderbusses or other antiques I don't see that as being relevant.
But another school today near there had a report that 2 boys were fighting and one accused the other of having a gun. No weapon was found though. I'd like to personally lock them up for a month and give them a severe mom lecture. Monkey see, monkey do. Stupid kids. grrr........
It's really hard for me to wrap my head around it all, and in retrospect, I think about some of the kids I've known, some of their situations, and how some of them have coped with personal situations. I'm very curious about the kid's mindset.

HAHA! Did you create this?
I remember once back in high school we had to make a short 2 minute video project for a class and I decided to do a step-animation thing, which only took me about 4 fucking hours.

Oh, that is such a load of crap. All they have to do is a DNA test and I bet she'd refuse to do that.

Meanwhile, SpaceX launches humanity's first commercial payload into space. I'll say that again. The first commercial payload in history has been launched, everything running as smooth as only a very competent thing can, and it's currently en route for the International Space Station.
And while Dragon 9 isn't the equal of the European ATV in terms of automatic guidance&navigation, I am in awe of what SpaceX has achieved in the last five years.

So now this means we can launch that 3D porn bitch into space on a commercial flight soon? I'm for it.

You're both right. Barring major accidents and such, you yankees better hold on to your hats. Your private space sector is about to fucking explode in the next ten years.

Yea, I think with space travel being privatized a lot more will get done in the long run in terms of space exploration. The problem is defense though, I can see technology being sold to all sorts of commie bitches, which is something that wouldn't happen with NASA.
Just a speculation, I could be completely wrong.

Haha, the biggest leak of US tech to China was done right under the nose of NASA. Why do you think Congress slapped that export ban down a few years back? A satellite was going up on a Long March rocket, it crashed and the Chinese authorities started to very politely require all sorts of information about the satellite in order to clear up what happened. And don't underestimate the power of that piece of legislation; it plays merry hell with many European projects who suddenly get a bunch of Americans breathing down their necks because they're using some nifty little American gadget.
It is a little annoying, though. I mean, as it was ESA and India was quickly heading up to take the lead in the space sector. Then when congress sent NASA away on yet another phallus project - oh, I mean super rocket project - which probably isn't gonna amount to anything more than the other ones, I half anticipated Europe to finally solidify its place as Americas replacement in space. But SpaceX, Sierra, Orbital and the rest might very well flip this around.
Dragon 9 just made a perfect rendezvous with ISS, by the way.

That was amusing, but how is someone hiding that many sheep? And where? Ireland isn't that friggin' big! Do you have a cellar?
Paddy, why do you have Jim Nabors' boyfriend as your profile picture?
