Rotten.com had (probably still has) pictures exactly like this from about 7 years ago, and they turned out to be fake. It was an art installation of some kind, most likely some sort of protest about/comment on the one-child policy and the like, which is what this new one appears to be. I reckon if there was any truth to this story the world's press would be doing cartwheels right now, but no one else seems to be picking up on it. The Seoul Times is probably the Fox News of Korea, gladly reprinting any bullshit which reflects badly on China or its brutal policies. That said, the article is pretty badly written; I doubt this paper has any real credibility. There are no sources cited either.
I don't believe it!
EDIT: http://www.snopes.com/horrors/cannibal/fetus.asp - there's nothing new about these stories.

Yeah, thats some old school shit. The only thing keeping me from believing it is your point about it not being picked up by anyone else. I believe the article's poor English is due to a poor translation.

The Seoul Times is a real online newspaper, but it's not exactly what you'd call a 'legitimate' one. If you scroll down, you'll see that the contact address for the newspaper is at gmail, and its wikipedia article is obviously written by the editor of the newspaper. Still, it does try and do regular newspaper things, but it doesn't seem like it's an at all trustworthy source for news, and probably has a significant anti-China bias in reporting the story.

Now that I think about it this probably doesn't qualify as evidence that the article is bullshit - the Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs (be very careful if you are searching information about these chaps) never had a mention in the Western media, save for an article written about a journalist's personal experience of watching one of their videos, and these guys killed 21 people with hammers, knives and metal bars when they were 19, including elderly men, pregnant women and children. So, it does happen. That said, this fact alone doesn't make me any more inclined to believe the baby-muncher article haha.

Another reason to doubt the newspaper's credibility; if they're legit, surely they'd have more adept journalists/translators. But shit, who knows?
I almost want this story to be real, so that I can finally tick off the last item on my list of things I need to see before I make the decision to top myself.

Supposedly it fucks up your nervous system. To be honest though, this fits a little too well into the general anti-vaccine scare propaganda that has been floating around for while now.

Agreed. There are millions if not billions of people who have had these shots and were fine. The ratio of normal to severely adverse effects these shots have on people is about the same as the ratio of people who have gone into comas after taking a vitamin C supplement versus those who didn't go into comas after taking a vitamin C supplement.

Well, in all honesty, the ratio of adverse effects are somewhat greater for the vaccine. However, there is so far nothing to suggest that an otherwise healthy person have anything to fear; as always it is pre-existing conditions and malpractice that seems to be the major factor in those cases. But for some reason that I can't quite fathom, some people want to scare the rest of us shitless and will gleefully pounce on a case like this. Fuck, it's almost as stupid as those parents who don't want to get their children polio vaccine... for fear of allergic reactions. In a way, I'm tempted to call it natural selection and let nature have its course.

You'd think.. http://www.engrish.com. Their target audience is Koreans so I'm pretty sure they spend very little effort towards a time-consuming task that would target what probably is a near nonexistent audience.

Scientologists are one reason that I sometimes feel like just folding up and giving in to the creationist onslaught. The mere knowledge that people can believe it might one day break my poor fragile psyche. Or, it might make me incredibly rich. Only time will tell.

Their success tells us everything we need to know about our species/society. Namely, it's in dire need of a nuclear war.

Not only their! Think about religion in general, naziism, schowinism etc etc. They show that people are too stupid to learn from the past and from the present!
There are so many reasons to bomb this whole planet right now.

True, but Scientology has that extra little bit of mind-numbing stupidity about it. In this day and age a sci-fi novelist/convicted conman/convicted sex offender shouldn't be able to brainwash people on such a massive scale. We haven't really moved forward much in the past 10,000 years, I guess.
Besides, your existence alone is a good enough reason to pull the plug on this whole sordid experiment called human consciousness

Still, that's also obviously not the case - we didn't reach our present state of advancement by waving a magic wand. If there really are aliens out there watching us from orbit I don't think they've ever actually kidnapped anyone. They probably haven't got past the shake-the-head-phase yet.

Oh, moved forward we have. It's just that a fairy large percentage of the population still has enough monkey in their genes to refuse getting down from the tree, regardless of wether it's still there or not.

Found this link from your article http://www.infowars.net/articles/de...epopulation.htm
It's a bit dated and I haven't heard anything about it so I'm assuming its not going anywhere but its interesting nonetheless.

Also, am I the only one getting fed up with hearing the phrase "Saving the planet"? Sure, I've been coaxed out of my skepticism pertaining human driven global warming, but for crying out loud, keep some perspective. It's us we're trying to save. The planet will be just fine, I can assure you, and regardless of how this little drama plays out, life will probably also keep on going with us being just another small statistical error. We might pull a few ecosystems down with us, but it's not like it'd be the first time or anything.

Am I retardedly tired or did that actually not make any sense at all. I tried to keep up but Wow. That whole paragraph just turned my world upside down.

The really amusing aspect of it is that it held enough importance with you to actually post about it. Anyhow.
First, a couple of personal observations about how I can't help but have the politically incorrect feeling that the species benefited from this event, followed by an expression of sadness at the tragedy of it.
Jeez, did I actually just do that?

So, anyone wanna take a guess at how many fresh recruits that gunner provided the various jihad and extremist groups with? Fuck it, you finally get an administration in WH that at least appears to try to get out of there and leave the thing in one piece and then some bonehead bozo like this comes along.
Humans. Gotta love us.

That's the most frustrating thing about this sort of incident; it's like trying to smother a fire with gasoline. I was sort of touched when the son of the murdered journalist said he's going to be fighting back with his own camera, because if he had decided to pick up an RPG instead we wouldn't have any justification to condemn him.
For an example of terrorists with absolutely no justification for what they do:
http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Car_bom...orthern_Ireland
Cocksuckers just won't quit. These are the same cocksuckers who shot my favouritest Dominos Pizza delivery man last year:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_M...rracks_shooting
The rationale of the PIRA and other splinter groups who participated in The Troubles included the brutality of the occupation and its military, the discrimination in housing, jobs and policing, the second class status of the Irish in the UK as a whole, and so on. The RIRA, on the other hand, has none of these justifications (things have changed drastically here over the past decade); they are murdering people purely on a matter of principle, the principle being "Ireland shouldn't be governed by Britain". I never condoned anything the IRA ever did, but at least they had a somewhat convincing argument in favour of it.

Yea, that little kid saying he'd pick up his father's camera, practically standing up like a small soldier of free speech, was a real kick in the groin to the old cynicism. Sniffle.

I think the guy who made the comment about following in his father's journalistic footsteps was the older guy, looked to be in his late teens/early twenties. You see him crying when the footage is played on the TV.
I still can't get that young kid's face outta my head though, it was a look of sheer hopelessness, and with a voice to match.

We could use something to balance the evolutionary dead end in the helicopter over in Iraq.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hG72...eos=rFDYCwH34dk
A funny thought of a seemingly unrelated type springs to mind, though. If I were to find a dead guy outside my door, it would undeniably be a source of some consternation; and still, here I am, spreading the news of a death as a counter balance to tragedy. Ah well.

It makes me angry because it's very plausible and there's no good reason for it what so fucking ever. Chill out damn it, they haven't been provided with any more of a manual for life than we have, they're the product of evolutionary processes and blind natural laws, same as we. Gah, give me something big, fragile and expensive to break.
In any case, I don't appreciate the cowardice in Hawking's stance.

That might have something to do with his complete paralysis.
Interesting article. My father recorded the series last night and wants me to come watch it with him. Now I don't have to! No, I will, but I still think that that isn't a good reason to 'avoid' contact as I'm sure its like the spider and the human - they're as scared of us as we are of them. Maybe.
I've also thought a lot about the idea in the last paragraph stating that intelligent life could be in a form beyond or comprehension, sometimes right in front of us.

Haha... ha. Stance on the question of seeking contact or not. My point is that even if they are high-on-mighty-beyondy right in front of our eyes in another dimension, shapeshifting kind of thing that's no reason to be intimidated. Impressed yes, should they deserve it, treat them with a certain amount of deference, sure. But avoid contact at all costs? That ain't the spirit that put a man on the moon and pre-sliced bread in my pantry.

I'm reminded of that old fable about how we'd be unable to understand a lion even if it spoke perfect English (or whatever language one happens to speak), because its world is just so bizarre and different compared to ours. It makes me wonder how even more unlikely effective communication between us and a species from another solar system would be.
As depressingly bleak as it seems I'd have to side with Steve "Wheels" McHawkmeister on this one; if the same evolutionary processes are at work all around the universe then it's likely that the beings which spunked forth from them are just as single-mindedly sadistic and selfish as the rest of us, and a war - which we'd probably lose if the aliens are advanced enough to have reached us at all - would be inevitable. When we invade other countries and steal their resources there's always that twinge of guilt that the people we've killed/robbed/enslaved are fellow human beings, but that's not a concern if you're a wobbly gelatinous super-intelligent Spunkloid from the arsehole of space. If we fuck up other humans the way we do imagine how a superior alien race would treat us. Probably similarly to how we treat cockroaches. I think that's actually a fair assessment - the best we could hope for is that we'd be somewhat protected by the intergalactic equivalent of PETA fundamentalists haha.
PETA? Nah, PETH. No wait, AETH. Hmmm, but they wouldn't call themselves "aliens", so...SETH? That'll do. No it won't - Spunkloids for the Ethical Treatment of Humans presupposes that ethics, or ethics that we agree with, are possessed by alien races. I think I've put far too much effort into this paragraph.
I'd still go ahead with making contact, though. Maybe if we survive it'll bring humankind closer together and we'd be better off for the experience, like when two siblings become close friends after years of beatings from their parents. Plus I'm game for whatever hawt Martian poontang is on offer. Christ knows I'm gettin' nothin' from these Earthling bitches.

On the other hand, if you follow human developmental history you can quite clearly see something distinct cropping up in the 18th century in the Western civilization and the attitudes towards both war and weaker nations have undergone a dramatic shift since then. Don't take that as an excuse to label me blue-eyed or anything, even cultural evolution requires millennia, or at least many centuries, to work. Point is, we don't know what path another intelligent species would take. However, a study of social species here, especially humans, indicate that the further we go along the path of, well, just being basically nice to each other, the more successful we are. It makes for better usage of collective resources, in particular the single one most important in any intelligent species, the inside of the head.
Just as an example, me and many of my future colleges would like nothing better than to send a probe to Europa, drill a hole down through the ice sheet and see if there's an ocean down there swim around in. But the concern about introducing potentially genocidal micro organisms conquistador-style is nowadays so great that it's become a high priority point in any exploratory mission there. That's not the attitude of your average biologist a hundred years ago.
Anyway, why the worries? As it stands right now it might very well be we who goes to them. I say this, because it's not all that unreasonable to postulate that life forms remotely like us requires a third generation star to even have a stab at developing. And the universe only is something like 13-15 billion years old. And isn't it equally reasonable to think that a species would have to be at least remotely like us to have any interest in raiding Earth?
And if you're gonna go off worrying about etheral what-have-you's or giant whales swimming in cosmic radiation, then sure, but they're in the same category as freak solar storms and the sudden eruption of a glob of magma in a backyard in northern Wales.

Okay, there's been a few shows on lately about extra terrestrials coming here to build the pyramids and crap like that. So what if they did and were actually from here in the first place and left only to return once they had more knowledge and tried to help us get our shit together so to speak?

I would love for this to happen, but I think we'd have serious problems on our hands if it does. If he still has "fans" who'll greet him in the streets despite his covering up of the rape of children, Michael Jackson style, the roads will be awash with blood. And semen.
It'll be interesting to see how this will be dealt with in my country haha.

Looks photoshopped, although I've seen a kid who impaled himself on a railing, and the spike pretty much went the same way as the bull's horn in that pic haha. Painful business. I can't seem to find the pic in question, but here's an artist's impression:

Alright, I'll be the one to say it: I bet it'd be interesting fucking his neck-hole. It'd be like an average blowjob minus the ever-present danger of teeth scrapes.

Impressive but I think there will be some arseholes who want to develope some new bio-weapons.
Okay but actually it isn`t synthetic life , it's a cell with a transplanted synthetic genome. But just let us hope that finally this is a discovery that actually can HELP humanity

Yeah for example some painkiller were developed in KZ`s to see how much more torture they can hande. Great isn`t it?
And still I think humanity sucks. We are the only one who can destroy a whole planet in about 1000yrs

Goodness! How could they be so sure it was a lone gunman since it seemed all over the place with so many casualties?

Heavy metal and violent video games are so potent that they can cause a middle-aged man who doesn't listen to metal and doesn't play video games to a shocking series of murders through sheer cultural osmosis. Nothing else could explain such violence.
They are also so powerful that they affected the time flow in reverse, thereby causing all of man's inhumanity to man throughout the history of mankind. Again, no other explanation makes sense. What else could lead to such a history of violence?

Doesn't count, you were willingly corrupted from day 1. There's a difference. You simply doused yourself in gasoline, gleefully applying the essential spark by dragging a fingernail down a wet blackboard. However, it turns out six million jews were gassed and a fuckload of hookers in 19th century London were gutted because of a sixteenth-note-harmonic-minor-riff-over-a-double-bass-blast-beat's inherent ability to overcome the temporal threshold backwards to twist the minds of decent god fearing people six loops around their heads. And then six more. And... then... another six...

I'm gonna steal this for future gigs.

SWAT officers say they spent part of the afternoon Saturday trying to talk the 34-year-old down from the hill as he clutched a sword.
Meanwhile, the corpse of Sigmund Freud was spotted doing somersaults in his grave.
There aren't enough sword slayings these days, it's all TEC-9s and combat knives. Bring back the Iron Age!

Having no limbs doesn't preclude you from gettin' what's comin' to ya. I mean, look at her - no hands or legs, she's already been told four times but still chose to disrespect my main man, Jacoby Smitty.
Gaaaa, dem journalists is just bleeding heart fags!

From now on whenever I hear Dying Fetus' "Kill Your Mother Rape Your Dog", I will think/hear "Nub! Nub! Nub! Nub!" when he chants "Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill!". That's okay, I haven't heard the song in years anyway.

So it is true. Women are a patented method of taking spine and balls out of hapless, defenseless men! What the fuckelity fuck, there you go, just minding your own business, letting people know how wrong their political views are by casually splattering their blood and brain substance across the jungle in an easy, outgoing manner and then - BAM! - some chick comes along, puts a ring on your finger and you're a pleasant, civilized member of society. I'm starting a new facebook group. "Murderous marauders against marriage".
Who comes up with this kind of thing?

Wow. I honestly thought London was gonna play Turks for another few decades before coming around to this. Hey, maybe this new government over there can be good for something more than stemming the islamization tide?

Women Attempting To Overcome Fear Of Primates Attacked By Monkeys
She said three or four of the creatures began attacking her from all sides, grabbing her arms, legs and rear end, leaving bruises all over her body.
'I thought, "This is it, I'm going to die, I'm going to be savaged by these monkeys," then I went into shock,' she said.
Sometimes I love this planet.

Probably not. We'll most likely have a mass slaughter of Muslims and 38 years later they'll be exonerated.

I found the unedited version of that pic with the monkey:
http://hosting01.hotchyx.com/adult-...935_468x368.jpg (don't let the URL worry you, it's the only image host I could find who won't delete my sweet pics).
Reminds me of this story:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3DeJjHAz8I
The nervousness of the two presenters in the second clip is hilarious, or extremely depressing, I forget which.

It's a little known fact that the British Army were sent into N. Ireland in 1969 not to keep two communities from annihilating each other but to begin a 14-year preparation of placing military strongholds all around the country in order to keep me and my massive gland contained. The entire "troubles" were in fact a smokescreen; all involved terrorists and security forces were trying to prevent the birth of the first born male from around the beginning of 1983 by killing my potential fathers, with each victim being selected through one single criterion - cock size.
Coincidentally, the day bunny finally agreed to split me in half with one of her bladed dildos is known around these here parts as Bloody Sunday, and you can rest assured that the inquiry into that particular atrocity will cost more than £200,000,000.

Jesus farting Christ I don't think I can go on with my life knowing that I missed this shit. I would pass up a BDSM ménage à trois with Bobbi and bunny if it meant I could attend - or better still, preside over - a monkey wedding.
